We were here for our Silver wedding Anniversary- what a treat. We arrived after getting a taxi 4 miles away. Great service recommended by the hotel. We had canapes in the lounge - a lovely setting. Loved the decor. We were taken through and could choose our table for dinner- a cosy corner in one of the dining rooms. the...

Amongst the various places we stayed during our trip around the west of Scotland, including a number of five star luxury resorts, this was our favourite by some distance. It’s setting is idyllic; Loch Voil in October was resplendent in its reflection of the brown, gold and orange trees around its border, and it had a stillness that only comes...

We spent an afternoon here with family members and it was wonderful! The views are simply stunning and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere, superb service and delicious food. We had four children with us who also had a ball. Saving up to stay the night!

This was our last night in Scotland and we choose perfectly. Situated half way from the Western Highlands on route back to Edinburgh, we stopped here for the night and to partake in the dining opportunity the Mhor presented. It's indeed a narrow path along the Loch to eventually get the the Hotel, so dining there that night is a...

This is the forth time we have visited, the last time was during the heavy floods and there were some challenges, but still exceptional. This time no floods but an Indian summer. I can only concur with the recent comments and if you have a dog with you then life doesn't get much better. If you are looking to visit...

This was our second visit to this hotel. It is unique due to it's location coupled with the quality of the food. We had a very spacious comfortable room with separate bath and shower cum steam room. As it is remote it is best to eat in the hotel restaurant. Most of the food comes from the farm. Dinner is...

Driving 6 miles down a beautiful one-lane Scottish road (with passing places of course) in the Trossachs will get you to a beautiful manor-like house and gardens. There are a set of different housing facilities on the premises and we stayed in the main house of which the restaurant is a part. Our room was very clean and appointed beautifully....

Situation is very picturesque as it is four miles up a single track road from Balquidder. Lunch was very good and only complaint or comment would be that the main course of lamb consisted of one lamb chop . Could have done with two. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Loved our visit, which was only 1.5 hrs from Edinburgh. Everything was first class, great staff, and lovely surroundings. We only stayed the one night, but felt instantly relaxed with views out onto the loch. Dinner & breakfast were amazing, with the quality of cooking top notch! Will be back!!

A revisit after 15 years. Remains superb but has developed in to a really lovely place to stay. The staff were superb and attentive. The food is excellent and wines extensive. Very family friendly and not at all stuffy whilst managing to retain a special feel. Hope to be back sooner this time.
