The site is on a working farm so you may wake up to chickens right outside your tent and the site isn't the most luxurious. I found it novel and fun to stay in that setting but others may find it off-putting. The showers work and have hot water. To camp is only 5 pounds. I'm not sure I would...

Myself and my partner stayed here on the first evening of our first day on the west highland way walk. For £5pp I wasn't expecting much. Although the website says that there is hot running water, shower and toilet facilities available and an area to admin yourself and cook is true to its word. However these facilities looked as if...

This place was quite small and mostly quiet. The bathrooms, showers and covered cooking area were much more run down than expected. There were 12 people camping there when we were there. There was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms. The picnic tables are rotten and weak ( I set my pack on it and i thought the...

camped here on day one of the west highland way. Didn't see the owners, and there was an honesty box to pay your £5. There is an undercover area for washing up, a shower, which I didn't use so cant comment on, and toilets. There was no toilet paper, so take your own. Also the light in the loo doesnt...

This was so poor, no hot water, the showers were locked, so washing was not an option, finding a flat piece of land in the cramped space to pitch tent is a challenge. No one on site to take money or explain why no hot water or why the showers were permanently locked. There is a box for the camping...

So dissappointed with this site. Barely a flat piece of ground to pitch tent, but glad I had not booked one of the cabins as they look in a dreadful state. The showers were locked and the only plus point was the flushing toilet! The owners of the site appear to put little effort in - there is even an...

Positives - sheltered barn for cooking out of the rain. £5 per person, but to be honest you might as well do some wild camping if you can find a good source of water. Negatives - no toilet roll, showers locked permanently, even after phone call to owner to tell him. He said he'd ring back, but he never did...

It's a really small campground just few steps off the way, with a couple of picnic tables, toilets, showers and a sheltered space to dry your stuff. Unlike many other facilities, it's not a huge park with a lot of caravans, you will meet just a few hikers there, these who you'd met along the way. May be a nice...

This place is a true bargain. Where else can you find actual flush toilets, showers, and space in a barn to shelter from the rain and prep food/gear etc for a fiver? Sure, the pitch field is a bit crooked and it is certainly not the Ritz, but I have paid two to three times as much to stay at...

A true example of excellent camping and facilities. A well maintained well drained flat grass field just what every camper needs. Great clean Shower and toilets. Also has excellent secure car parking. Gavin who owns and runs the site was a true Gent and couldn't do enough for us. He offers lifts to an from the town at no extra...
