This B&B is lovely. I had booked a double and a twin room for four walkers on the West Highland Way with a shared bathroom in order to keep costs down, price GBP 27 each. On arrival the landlady showed us to our accommodation which was on the first floor, a shared space with another double room, kitchen and living...

The accommodation was excellent. There were 6 of us; 2 couples and 2 singles. 4 of us had the upstairs apartment with one ensuite room, two rooms sharing an excellent bathroom, plus our own sitting room and kitchen. The other couple had an ensuite room opening out to a sitting area in the garden. In addition we could all use...

On our recent visit to Scotland we were lucky enough to book in to Elmbank! We were met with incredible hospitality and accomodating service. Carol, the owner, showed us to our rooms which were well furnished and the most comfortable we have ever stayed in I would say. The breakfast is free with unlimited cups of tea and good quality...

Although we arrived early and the owner was out we were talked through the facilities and given our choice of rooms. The room was in a flat area so we had access to a sitting room and kitchen which was great. The owner was very friendly and put on a large spread of cereals, fruit, cheeses, bread etc for breakfast....

Sooooo comfortable, clean, well equipped and inexpensive. We had an ensuite bedroom and a bathroom in the same apartment. There were more Spanish guests in the larger apartment downstairs so we had a house party in their sittingroom with a logfire. It was just like home! The constant heating was a dream after a wet days walking WHW! Okay, the landlady...

Like other reviewers my wife and I were walking the West Highland Way and Elmbank was our most expensive B&B on the walk and was probably the poorest in terms of quality. Positives - large warm ensuite, comfortable bed and large TV, close to pubs and hotels serving good food, close to convenience store. Negatives - grimy & untidy appearance,...

like other reviewers, I now discover, we expected a B&B and were offered instead a house with "breakfast" provided in the kitchen. Not really what we wanted tho the landlady was friendly and pleasant, and we having just walked 12 miles from north Glasgow, the start of the West Highland Way we couldn't be bothered to make a fuss. Compared...

Clean and a nice family room with a double and bunkbeds. Also nice to have the use of a kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Breakfast is continental and self-service. Carol is friendly and we enjoyed our stay. It is on the east side of the loch which is more scenic and avoids the traffic jams coming down to Balloch!...
