Anthony and Jo were so friendly and welcoming - we and the other couple staying were treated as long lost friends and invited in to share a drink and a chat in the evenings. They booked a restaurant for us, looked after us in every way possible, and gave us lots of advice about where to go and what to... More

Invredibly charming, this beautiful house has wooden bathrooms, paintings on the walls, a large veranda for breakfast and great views on the garden, the lawn and the countryside. The owners make you feel at home and it is certainely worth having a chat with them. Most people spend just one night here on their way to the islands or the... More

I could not have been more charmed. This B&B is in an old vicarage that has been lovingly restored. Jo and Antony were the perfect hosts, full of information and helpful while giving us plenty of space. The breakfast garden room is quiet, comfortable, full of blooming things, with a truly spectacular view down the glen. Our bedroom was huge,... More

The room, the breakfast, the mansion, the setting, ... WoW, it was perfect, we loved our stay here, great personal touch. Jo and Anthony have the skill to adapt themselves to their guests, never to much, perfectly balanced. Thank you very much, love, Nancy & Karlien

We were visiting Scotland for 2 nights and travelling with our 2 dogs, so we needed a dog friendly B&B. The Old Manse at Gartmore was the perfect place. On arrival after a long journey, Jo and Anthony greeted us like old friends and the dogs were made just as welcome. We had the top floor with stunning views, all... More

Planned a trip out to Loch Lomond for the weekend and couldn't have lucked out more with The Old Manse. Jo and Anthony's B&B is fantastically placed in Gartmore and to visit the surrounding area. But this is nothing compared to their hospitality! They are fantastic hosts always going out of their way to make your life easier, and don't... More

I stayed for two nights in a very large room with private bathroom. The owners were away so Helen was covering, ably supported by her son Gregor. The welcome was warm and I felt like I was staying with friends. The house is super with lots of books and art works. The view is amazing. Breakfast was lovely, everything you... More

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Old Manse where Jo and Anthony made us feel most welcome. They are a delightful couple and couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was very comfortable- we had the twin room with separate bathroom- and we had everything we needed. Breakfast this morning was in their conservatory and... More

I only spent one night at The Old Manse but certainly wish I could have stayed longer. The hosts, Jo and Antony, went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed and that I felt at home. Their hospitality is unique. I enjoyed wonderful tea and breakfast with them and relished the piece and quiet... More

Staying at the Old Manse was like visiting old friends. Our hosts Jo and Antony could not have made us feel more welcome. They suggested places and restaurants to visit, we enjoyed a lovely meal with them, breakfasts were delicious and they even sent some items of clothing on that I had accidentally left behind. The Old Manse is a... More
