This is one of our favourite places in the world! Every time we venture north we always detour to include a meal at this place. The food is the most delicious...THE most delicious! I love the cheese fondue, the gluten free fish and chips, and my hubby really likes their burgers and their steaks. The ice cream is really tasty...

Stayed here for three nights, as a base for tackling the Lawers Munros. A perfect location to do so. It was my first time visiting Killin and immediate area. Lynn, Michael and their team are excellent, genuine hosts. The room was fine for my needs. The real bonus of staying here is the bistro. Tasty and filling after a day...

Just returned from another wonderful over night stay at The Old Smiddy Killin. Lynn and Michael were the perfect hosts once again. The view of the falls from the bedrooms always takes my breath away. See you soon, as i wouldnt stay anywhere else.

We spent a couple of nights here over the Easter weekend, with our young daughter, and it was such a wonderful choice. Lynn, Michael and all the staff were so welcoming and really went the extra mile to make our stay special. They have a super toy box which kept our daughter entertained when eating in the restaurant or relaxing...

I had no expectations on arrival as I wasn't sure where I was coming to stay as it was a surprise booking. Our experience at The Old Smiddy was a lovely comfortable and relaxing one. We arrived later than expected on our bicycles - narrowly missing last orders for our meal but Lynne welcomed us with open arms and told...

You could not get a better welcome or more friendly and attentive hostess. Lynn was a real star! I arrived late after a long and stressful day and Lynn could not have been more helpful. She came out to greet me on arrival, looked after my elderly parents and even put out dog biscuits and a water bowl for my...

Sadly we were visiting Killin for a family funeral and we could not have had a better home from home experience. We were looked after superbly by Lynn and Michael who attended to our every need! Warm burning fires, comfortable rooms, excellent food and highland hospitality! We cannot recommend this B&B and restaurant highly enough! Thank you Lynn & Michael.

I emailed the day before our visit to see if dogs were welcome. Received a reply to say small dogs were welcome with prior arrangement so I made a booking. We were made to feel very welcome - even our dog was brought three little dog treats on a plate! Such a thoughtful gesture! The food was delicious and reasonably...
