The room was lovely and the view spectacular however the restaurant was terrible. Waited over an hour to get our dinner when it came it was frankly disgusting the steak pie was a mound of soggy uncooked pastry with tough steak inside that was lukewarm the staff appears totally disinterested so we decided not to bother with the breakfast will not be back. Sent an e mail complaining which has been totally ignored

Property's Favourite Review
We have stayed before several times in the Ben Lomond rooms but opted for the incredible Ben Vane room this time. Simply incredible! What a beautiful room, I would never tire of that view. Food really good, despite COVID restrictions breakfast was the best we’ve had here yet, despite a longer wait. Just loved this place, can’t wait to come back again. A definite 10/10 from me ! I have attached a few pics of the room and it’s views. Love this place !

We stayed for 2 nights on 4th July in Ben Lomond double room room 202. Room was clean and comfortable with great views. Hotel has great staff all round and good covid protection implemented. Restaurant was good ample choice but perhaps a maybe a sandwich or something lighter option for lunch along with the main menu. All in all fab stay.

Decided to give this hotel another chance ,to be honest I won't return .Rude bar staff and waiter who could not care less.He left our hot drinks on the bar because he could not be bothered .No sandwiches No cake so I ordered just chips which where awful. Very quiet in Bar area but would not serve a couple on the next table because they had not booked . Just didn't make sense so quiet and turn business away. Where was the manager overseeing this shambles of customer service . The only positive was the smiling receptionist and the lady who searved the food What a shame for such a lovely hotel

The waiting staff who served us were lovely. Two young men really courteous and learning on the job, seemed rushed off their feet though. All other staff we encountered were nice and friendly however I’m sorry to say with exception of the man behind the bar, letting people queue and clearly not wanting to carry out his job. He was rude and and responded with attitude when we were only asking to settle up, this type of behaviour will let this place down and have an impact on business. The views and location is spectacular. I had a prawn and garlic bruschetta for starter which was very nice and The Famous Inn Burger which was fine but a little on the dry side, to be honest I should have ordered fish and chips as everyone else in my party enjoyed this. Thanks again for accommodating and will hopefully return soon.
