This hotel is in dire need of a face lift.. The rooms are outdated and tired. It feels like a b and b when you enter. The hotel is claiming its adhering to all COVID 19 protocol but I have to say it's not. The staff were lax at wearing masks and despite many hotels ensuring that people weren't sharing lifts this hotel had little signage. And because of this the guests felt it ok to argue. Checking in was not the easiest. I had included breakfast in the price but no one told me what time that was so I had to ask We made the mistake of going to breakfast the 1st morning and it was a poor offering. The food was not of a ok standard and it certainly wasn't a continental option. It was just lacking in all aspects and we didn't really want to spend any time there. The TV couldn't pick up many channels and the WiFi kept dropping.

I visited the hotel at the end of May 2021 and accompanied some guests who were staying at the hotel for a drink in the bar. A staff member on reception was particularly officious and wasn't even going to let our small group of five in despite the fact that two of us were staying at the hotel! The hotel has no real atmosphere and comes across as being unwelcoming. Personally I wouldn't recommend it unless you are desperate, there are better places to stay in Tyndrum.

Stayed for one night during our West Highland Way walk. Reception wasn’t manned on our arrival so we had to sit for about 10 mins or so before we could check in, not ideal after 22+ miles!! Our room was adequate though very tired and dated. We did not use the restaurant nor were we sure if it was open. All in all it did the job but could definitely be done with a facelift, especially considering the price for a stay!

We booked here for one night on our west highland way trip and found a few issues. Firstly the communication before our stay was awful. I could not get an answer from the hotel telephone, it went straight to holding music and they did not respond to emails, the central reservations line did answer but could not help me in booking dinner. This is what goes wrong when companies try to centralise control instead of letting the hotel run itself. The biggest issue though was sleep... we were fast asleep when at 12.30am we were woken by loud voices in the corridor chatting for about 30 mins. It must have been staff as the rules saying no food / drink can be served after 10pm means all residents must have been in bed?? One good point is the 2 ladies on reception could not be more helpful when we wanted extra teabags, milk etc..

Hi all, I will start by apologising it has taken so long to write a review. We took the limo up to tyndrum some while ago. What a great place to stay. The authentic hotel manager "Ishmal" showed us to our room & pointed us over to the tyndrum inn. (Tyndrum inn tip is to check left hand unrinal). Corridors make for moving furniture around hotel easy - 10/10 To summarise - id rather stay in the MGM grand than see a dinosaur.
