We walked up from the harbour to see the dinner menu. I had called the day before to ask about the menu as nothing is on line as the menu changes daily. The hotel is a bit tired and the receptionist a little brisk but the bar staff friendly and happily made cocktails which were nice. The dinner menu didn't...

We stayed for two nights here recently. It was a brilliant stay, couldn't fault it. We used portpatrick as a base and went to Belfast for the day. We were that tired when we got back that we just had our evening meal at the Fernhill, and it was fantastic. The food was well cooked, and the service was great....

14 of us went to Portpatrick to play golf and booked into the Fernhill. I called the hotel and they gave us a great price for the Saturday night. Must admit the service there is fantastic, from check in to check out it was faultless. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, good sized and some great views....

We only stayed for one night but it was lovely, The Hotel itself is a bit tired round the edges and an evening fire in the bar would have been welcome, however all the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious - both evening meal and breakfast - and views were spectacular. We would definitely return.

We had decided on a quiet holiday using Portpatrick as our base and stayed at the Fernhill Hotel. This is superbly situated overlooking the harbour and most rooms have a seaview well worth the small extra charge. We were blessed with fine weather for the whole of our eight night stay. The restaurant has perhaps the best view along with...

This was the third year in a row that we have stayed at the Fernhill and I still cannot find any faults. Portpatrick is a lovely place and to sit and look at the view across the harbour whilst enjoying really good food in the restaurant is a pleasure. The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable, but I suggest...

Spent 2 nights here cycling and golfing. Having not cycled for About a year good countryside-not too hilly and quiet roads. Hotel itself has a great setting over the harbour. Get a window table for dinner. If sun going down great views.Staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in cottage. Comfortable enough if needing refreshed. Hotel has limited choice of beers...

We love Portpatrick but have never been able to stay here. For our honeymoon, we decided to make an exception and booked a 4 night stay. We were offered a sherry upon checking in and shown to our room with amazing views over the harbour. The decor isn't the most modern but everything was clean and the view out of...
