On a day visit to Portpatrick we stopped here for lunch. Excellent food, alongside superb beer and an idyllic location made this a lunch to remember, and we now intend to return to the area for a much longer stay. When we do, we will be regulars here. A great find....

To start by saying we only ate here did not actually stay. Back story we ate here in 2005, and my husband had the most amazing seafood platter, I could not as I was pregnant! Ten years later we were over the moon as still there, same seafood platter and allowed dogs! Drove for nearly two hrs to get there...

Love Port Patrick and the Crown Hotel has a perfect setting. Have been to this hotel on a few occasions and am still disappointed in the quality of food. Which is such a pity as it is family friendly and has such potential. My last meal was appalling and I am afraid I will not be back to eat. I...

We spent a fair bit of our stay popping in and out of The Crown. During the day it was a busy and friendly place whether we were looking for a coffee or an afternoon drink. We ate in the bar on Friday 15/05/2015, and they serve good quality, tasty food. Later on both on Friday and Saturday nights the...

Absolutely fantastic wee place! We didn't stay over due to the hotel being fully booked but ate and drank there both nights of our stay in the port. 10/10 for atmosphere, friendliness, entertainment, food and drink! You made our anniversary break without a doubt! Special thanks to Dougie and Sam, such friendly staff. We will be back! Scott and Sheryl...

Had an early dinner at the Crown following a busy day out around the South Rhin of D&G. We had heard the Crown did good food so gave it a go. The landlord was so genuinely friendly as was his staff. We had the usual fish and chips but the menu had a great seafood selection and locally sourced. We...

Have just returned from 3 days golfing with 19 friends. We paid 20% of what a trip to Portugal would have cost - the weather was kind but the package offered was unbeatable regardless. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the food was exceptional for the price.
