Possibly one of the best B&B's I've ever had the pleasure of staying in - the rooms are well fitted out with quality fixtures and fixings, and the bathroom and shower were lovely. We were taking a day trip to Belfast, so we dropped by early in the morning and were given our room keys at 10am so we could...

We were travelling from Haddington to Stranraer to catch the ferry to Belfast. Elaine was especially helpful - when I first enquired about a B&B and told her we were catching a ferry she immediately wrote back supplying the ferry link for Belfast. Alan and Elaine picked us up at the train station and then the next day dropped us...

I chose the guest house as it had family rooms and there were 2 adults and 2 children in our party, as well as meeting up with family who were also staying at the guesthouse. The welcome was great, Elaine...

Breakfast was a tasty fresh cooked full...

Elaine, the owner, helped us in our hour of need when we had arrived in Stranraer after a long trip from Aberdeenshire and the booked B&B was totally unacceptable. She had a room for us following my panic stricken phone call to her at 730 at night. Lakeview is a very homely and welcoming place, room and host. We would...
