Stayed here on Sunday night, the greeting I received was very welcoming and all the staff I met were friendly, room was very clean and comfortable, and with everything you needed for a nights stay. Would definitely stay here again, and look forward to another warm welcome.

The golfing holiday package was excellent value for money. The food is of a high standard and there is more than enough to eat! The reception and room service are efficient. The room is clean. The gym, pool and indoor sports facilities are a superb bonus when the weather is less than perfect! Why not 5*? Some features looked rather...

Comfortable, warm, good food, friendly courteous staff, coal fire, spotlessly clean - what else could anyone wish for. Very reasonably priced. Spent two nights last weekend and will certainly return. Felt truly rested and ready now for a busy week.

The North West Castle is one of our favourite places for a break. The staff are friendly and supportive. The food is truly excellent. My wife has specific dietary needs and every detail was sensitively catered for and met in full. The hotel is quieter since the ferry port to Ireland moved to Cairnryan, but the standard of attention in...

The hotel is a 3 stars but it should be probably 2. You can immediately notice that the Hotel is running down, the structure is an 80s style with many infrastructure oldy. It should be completely refurbish. I am guessing this hotel in the hold time was a 4 stars or more and they stars and management have been sold...

My wife and I have stayed here many times, always good, but this time was so different. I booked for 5 nights on my own at Stranraer,a nice little town, but on the third,I had a nasty fall(my own fault)and was taken to the local hospital. Everything was taken care of for me in my absence, transferring all my clothing and belongings to the...

What a shame that this hotel is dragged down by tired furniture and soft furnishings, that have gone beyond 'period character' to just plain shabby. The clientele seemed either business, golf groups (engrossed in themselves and oblivious to their surroundings), or old....and we're in our sixties. The staff are just so incredibly pleasant, helpful and efficient everywhere and add some...

Visited the Castle for the sixth time last week. Very enjoyable as usual. Just feel i have to mention the bungalow at the back of the hotel if you are staying with dogs (we take our 3 dogs and 2 cats) as there is a small garden with private parking. Great to let them relieve themselves early morning and late...

We were booked for a 4 night golf break, but stayed for only one night. The hotel is in dire need of renovation. It is in a 1950s time warp, our room was large but the balconies were dirty & in disrepair, the sea view would have been lovely if there hadn't been a scrapyard infront of the hotel. The...
