The bedrooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hostess was very helpful and welcoming. The dining room was smart and the breakfast was excellent - wide choice and well cooked. We would definitely recommend this guest house.

The room was clean and comfortable but a little small. Our room was ensuite. The bathroom seemed to be added on later. It was small but clean. Parking was easily accessible in back. Breakfast was available but we chose not to get it since we were leaving first thing in the morning.

This is an excellent b&b in a large, characterful house and is in a good location on the main road half a mile from the town centre. A very friendly welcome, a lovely room with a good shower in the en suite. The breakfast was excellent. It has to be said that Stranraer disappointed as a town itself, but it...

Our stay at the Cross Haven Guest House Stranraer was very enjoyable with warm welcome and a very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice we both liked the bird feeds outside the window in the garden which meant the birds visited them given some very interesting topics of conversation. As a motorcyclist touring...

Thank you for your very positive comments and it's nice to know the birds in the garden are appreciated and enjoyed. Mick looks after them and I think they are almost as well fed as our guests! Gayle

Be sure you make clear and reconfirm if your check in will be after 8 pm. I did both but it was missed and we called on our way and very less than enthusiastic. But apologized next morning. Room was nice size and there was a ground floor available. Breakfast was lovely and only few minutes from ferry which was...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay and once again I am sorry for the mix up over your arrival time. We do like guests to provide an estimated arrival time as Mick and I run the guest house without staff and I'm sure you can appreciate how difficult that could be if we had no idea...

I was taking the early ferry from Cairnryan and needed a stopover. The Cross Haven Guest House proved to be ideal, with parking, a freshly furnished, comfortable room and ensuite shower/ WC. All for a very reasonable rate.

I was away on a fishing trip to Mull of Galloway - a 3-hour journey, so we had to leave early. My friend and I decided to stay somewhere down there overnight, and he booked us into this B & B. I had no idea what to expect, and was very pleasantly surprised on several counts. 1) it was easy...

We stayed here for one night on our trip around the UK. Lovely part of the world and the B&B is so handy for the town centre. The bike was locked up in a garage overnight, so we didn't have to lug all our gear off for security purposes and we were given great advice about good roads for the...

Spent three nights here. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Owners are very nice people and the breakfasts were very good. Made a good base for touring around the Mull of Galloway and beyond. Anyone who likes gardens should certainly follow the "Garden Route".
