We stayed here for one night and it was lovely. Lovely warm clean room with a fantastic shower. The Cullen Skink was the best I've ever had and the breakfast was just as good. The lady who looked after us was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Does what it says on the tin, not pretentious in any way.

Came up on the train on a dreach weekend. Our room was cozy and spotless. Maggie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure our stay went well, and the food was fantastic. Even managed some lovely walks in the mornings and a mooch around the shops and cafes of mallaig. Great second hand book selection...

We stayed there for one night on the way to catch a ferry the next morning. Our host was very welcoming. The room was very spacious. We drove there in a very strong wind/rain storm. The drying racks helped us a lot. We also had to leave early the next morning, so they offered us a bag lunch for each...

The Stevenson Tour of the highlands of Scotland with our westie dog Angus continued to Mallaig. If you see previous posts you will realise how let down we were by the so called dog friendly statements in Scotland. However I made the best mistake in my life when I booked this hotel thinking it was in Mallaig, it's not ,...

We stopped here for lunch 2 years ago and it was fantastic! So good, that although we were in a hotel a Mallaig for the night, we drove back here for dinner. Our memories were that good we decided to stay for the final night of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration this August.. Oh dear. We Booked a room at...

Stayed in one of their rooms to the rear if the property. First impressions were it needed a bit of attention but room was large and clean. All staff during our visit efficient, helpful and gave a strong sense of customer focus. We ate in the restaurant and while dinner was nice I thought the menu could have had more...

I didn't stay the night here, and only had the fish and chips at the restaurant, but had to give this place a good review. After a late arrival in nearby Roshven, we were left with no place to eat, and nothing we could put together as a meal. Not even a convenience store was open anywhere in the vicinity....

I booked a double room for the following day and agreed price, arrival time etc. When I turned up I was told that the person who took the booking made a mistake and there was no room available. I was told in a very matter of fact way what had happened. There was no empathy, no hint of being sorry...

A really great experience. Wonderful food, splendid accommodation and a fantastic location. What's not to like? From the moment of arrival the staff could not be more helpful. A delayed ferry did not mean that we were unfed.

Enjoyed a superb meal here. Looked after us very well, the waitress was really pleasant and engaged on a human being level and we'd certainly return. Location superb and the food was uncomplicated and well thought out. Simple food delivered with care. Don't hesitate.
