Welcome to the Newly Renovated Hampton Inn & Suites - Beale Street, located in the heart of the Memphis Entertainment District. We are just a half block off Beale Street, 2 blocks from the FedExForum, and within walking distance of the business district. Most downtown attractions are a short walk or trolley ride away. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, the Hampton Inn & Suites - Beale Street has it all.
Renovated in Spring 2019 to fit in with the modern downtown blues atmosphere, the hotel features an indoor pool, an expanded fitness center, and a sweets shop. Free hot breakfast is included with every overnight stay. Complimentary WiFi, in-room safes, iron and ironing board are also included, as well as local and 800 calls.
We travel frequently and are Hilton Honors Gold members. We have always enjoyed our stays at Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, I would rate this Hampton Inn poorly. The breakfast was mediocre though part of the blame is due to the restrictions of COVID. The towels were very poor quality. We were supposed to receive daily water bottles with our stays. The young lady employee told us they were out but I could buy them at $3 per bottle from their shop (same water bottles they gave out free). Several of the employees were very kind and helpful. Location was great.
This hotel is half a block from Beale and all the fun, at only a fraction of the cost of the Peabody. I was able to precheck-in and had my key sent to my phone. I just parked my car in the garage adjoining the hotel (there's no valet), keyed the elevator in the lobby and headed up to my room. The hotel is clean and updated. My room was amazing (I got a king suite) which came with an amazing bathroom, full kitchen and sitting area. Best of all, my balcony overlooked WC Handy park where people gather for free music. A minute out of the lobby are all the clubs, restaurants, and fun of Beale - which I prefer to Burbon Street in NOLA (for just the smell alone). I spent two fun-filled nights (Sat and Sun) and checked out without a hitch. One caveat, Beale Street, especially on the weekends, is non-stop loud until about 2-3 AM. If you get a room overlooking the park and you want to sleep at a normal hour, you will need noise-cancelling headphones or ask for a room on the otherside of the hotel. The free breakfast was average, but the staff was very nice.…
Found roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. The room was nice, it was awesome to have a balcony right by Beale Street. It is definitely very loud in the area though so if you are looking for a quiet nights rest this isn’t really your spot. Breakfast was great.
Felt very safe with key card use in all areas of hotel . Walking to all amenities on Beale street was a plus . Staff was incredibly helpful with their guidance and direction . They gave us recommendations for entertainment and dining .
This hotel is in a great location. The hotel staff is very friendly, the hotel is very clean and quiet. It’s just a half block away from Beale street. The only thing I didn’t get was a balcony, but I will be reserving one for next year. From the balcony you can sit there like you in New Orleans.
