We spent 3 days overthe Christmas Period (24-27th December) in the Harbourmaster Cottage in Aberaeron. The town is a very picturesque pretty Georgian town looking out into Cardigan Bay. Although the weather through the Holiday Period was poor, the welcome we got in the cottage...More
16.12.15. ( 21:00hrs). Having been at the Christmas Market nearby we decided to go for food to the Harbourmaster on my daughter's recommendation. It was my first visit, but what a spot. There was a wonderful festive atmosphere, the menu was excellent, service was friendly...More
Loved the location with great views of the harbour from our bedroom and the sea from the bathroom. Room was warm, cosy and clean although the bed being made up of two singles wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. Staff were friendly and professional. The...More
lovely Georgian building scruffy in some areas
Very little choice on menu
Dissapointed with the food (overpriced) and the chairs in the restaurant were very uncomfortable

We stayed in the Madona suite (in the rafters). We had a great view of the harbour from the harbourmaster's window (he used to sit here to view incoming and outgoing vessels). There is a comfy chaise-longue so you can lay back and watch the changing scenery of the harbour. There is another sea-view window at the side, in the bedroom. From here you can relax in bed with a view of the sea below. Very luxurious room with character. Would highly recommend.
