Our hosts, Adam and Tracey were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. When we arrived here we had had a long day and I said to Adam that what I really wanted was a gin and tonic. I had one about 2 minutes later so I was very impressed!...

I've been visiting Harlech for over 50 years and last stayed at Byrdir House some 10 years ago. I stayed there again with my family under the new ownership of Tracy & Adam in August this year - it had been completely refurbished; contemporary and clean/fresh, with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The new owners had gone out of...

What a little gem in the centre of Harlech village. We stayed at Byrdir House for 2 nights (13/08/16 - 15/08/16) and couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome or better service. We've been coming to Harlech for over 20 years and it's fantastic to see Byrdir House has been recently refurbished and is now up and running again. Tracy...

Many thanks for the nice comments, Stuart. It was great to have you, Sharon, Adam and Mia as Byrdir's first guests since the renovations were completed. It was great to hear laughter in the house again after the years of it lying empty. Tracy and I are glad you had a great time. All the best, Adam

I am afraid that I find it difficult to echo the comments of others. First impressions count for a lot. A grubby and neglected exterior, in this case with the additional attractions of dead pot plants, chairs in a heap and an apparently discarded garden hose, is often a symptom of problems, seen or unseen, on the inside. My room...

What a place! Have just stayed for a couple of nights and would highly recommend. Andy was a great host (and a Black Sabbath fan - can't be bad). Stunning breakfast. Not so much a meal, more a work of art. Lovely room. All in all a wonderful place to stay. Charles L

So the exterior is a little tired, but so what! We weren't, stopping in the garden. What a wonderful stay. Andy the sole host is doing a cracking job single handedly running this B and B and extending superb hospitality to his guests. We enjoyed our stay at Byrdir. Three things stick in our minds. The first is the breakfast; not only was it very tasty but more memorable was the visual impact, especially a tower of circular pieces of toast! The second was the very helpful local knowledge which Andy supplied; we had never visited the Harlech area before and he helped...
