Detailed Reviews
Just returned from another wonderful few days at the Plas Isa. Owners Ian and Anna ensured we had the most comfortable of times from the “ meet and greet” to ensure we understood the covid 19 proceedures in place ( ample sanitiser points, extra cleaning proceedures and social distancing etc ), to when we left. We had a large sea view room which has excellent views right across the bay. Plenty of choice from the fresh breakfast menu and we ended up eating in the hotel for dinner every night to take advantage of Anna’s excellant home cooked choice of menu, usually followed by a jovial conversation in the bar! Well worth a visit for anyone wanting a superb local hotel and a friendly relaxing stay. We shall be returning soon!!

Group of 8 of us visited for 2 nights whilst playing 3 rounds of golf around the area. Rooms were comfortable and very clean with everything you'd need, breakfast was plentiful (toast and coffee kept on coming and cooked breakfasts were to order if required) and the meal we had on the first evening was very good: we had 5 different options between us, with no complaints.
Ian and Anna were excellent hosts, they clearly take a pride in their business and will arrange golf course bookings if you give them a call. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable too. Overall we had a great break, even if the golf wasn't always up to scratch!

My wife and I booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. We've just returned home after a 2 night stay. The hotel is ideally situated with on site parking and within a short walk to the beach or into town. Anna, Ian and staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room 7 on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel was ideal as it was cooler in the very hot weather. We ate in on our first night and the food was delicious and of generous portions as were the breakfasts. We were impressed by all the Covid compliant arrangements and.
have already recommended Plas Isa to our friends

We had a 2 night stay at this well located hotel, all was fine, clean and tidy room and a good cooked to order breakfast (which we like). There were no evening meals while we were there due to coved staff shortages, this was not a problem for us as there are plenty of places to eat in Porthmadoc. The view from the room was great overlooking the sea and the castle, there is some road noise.. A good base for exploring the Llyn peninsular and the Snowdonia National Park.

Excellent hotel, very clean rooms, excellent food. Lovely hotel to stay at with friendly staff, had an early start Saturday so breakfast sandwiches were prepared and ready for us to go, nothing was too much trouble to make our stay worthwhile. The evening meals were exceptional, lamb shank recommended.

We had a very relaxing few days here with our friends. Our bay window rooms were clean and spacious with fantastic views. Well organised lounge bar and dining facilities in the present difficult circumstances. There was a good selection of breakfast options, which were beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. Our evening meals were superb with an excellent supply of vegetables. Anna and Ian are excellent hosts and helped us feel very welcome and relaxed.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The owner and staff were excellent and looked after us from start to finish. One of us had a Gluten Free diet and he was well looked after and provided with the GF breakfast he had asked for. The rooms were very good and very clean and had everything we needed in them. Parking is provided by the hotel and its only a short walk into town were you can find pubs, local shops and places to eat. I would 100% recommend this hotel to others, and if in the area again I will be booking the same hotel.

With a team of 8 members of our Golf Society Welsh Golf Breaks booked us in to the Plas Isa and what a great experience it was.
The Society Captain and I arrived on the Monday Night and were given the 2 Seafront Rooms which were excellent. We enjoyed an superb evening meal and breakfast and then that evening after our 1st Round of Golf the remainder of the members booked in.
Everyone was delighted with the vedry warm and friendly welcome, the quality of the rooms and the excellent food.
There is no doubt this really is one of those "Jewels in the Crown" that any tour organiser hopes to find and it really was a pleasure to have Plas Isa as our Base.
Many thanks to Anna and Ian for making our stay so memorable.

This beautifully located small but friendly hotel is a haven for small golfing societies. Ian & Anna, the owners, are both golfers and they offer a delightful ambiance, warm welcome, friendliness and the quality of the food, whether breakfast by Ian or Dinner by the daughter of a Master Chef, Anna, will not be bettered. The Menu for Dinner has choices for all is superbly cooked and well presented.
This is the second visit by our small society and it has once again not only fully satisfied us all but we are already seeking to book again for next year.

The Plas Isa was a fabulous place for us to stay for a recent golf trip to the area. Anna and Ian could not have been more welcoming, nor made the place fell any more safe and secure.
The hotel itself was perfect for us and has wonderful views across the bay. These were, admittedly, greatly enhanced by the glorious sunshine we were treated to!
Breakfast and evening meals were superb and definitely not lacking portion size, which suited us perfectly. Bottles of local beer from the bar washed the evening meals down nicely.
I would heartily recommend a trip to the area and a stay at the Plas Isa. Hopefully, one day we will get back over there in a post-COVID world.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel for looking after us so well.
