I visited on a short holiday, had a lovely time, very nice area. The rooms are well presented and clean, they have some rooms which are dog friendly this is the reason I stayed here. Pub and restaurant are also nicely presented, staff were all very friendly. Food was of a very good standard and reasonably priced for the quality...

Had an enjoyable stay here. A decent cosy room with lift access. Unfortunately dust had accumulated noticeably on a few surfaces I.e. On top of shaver socket in bathroom but overall the room seemed to be clean and tidy. Staff at the hotel were friendly and provided good service. The breakfast and evening meals were very good. The hotel has...

This was our first break away with our puppy and we couldn't have felt more welcome. The dog friendly room was lovely and had everything we needed. We even decided last minute that we should have bought our puppy crate and we were offered one from the hotel to use (great size and unopened) so that was a life saver!...

Finally there's a gastro-pub worth recommending around here! We've just enjoyed a delicious birthday meal in the newly renovated Ship Inn in Dolgellau. The decor was the first thing I noticed: the quality of the finish is high (I love that floor!) and the atmosphere warm and friendly. The staff were attentive and thorough and all of the guests seemed...

Visited the town on a lovely sunny spring day and we were attracted to this place due to the seating outside the front and the lovely view of the mountains. My husband was quite hungry and had the chicken and leek pie. It came with a tasty gravy, roast potatoes and fresh mixed veg. He loved it and devoured the...

Me and my partner have come to Wales on our hols and were driving out looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch. We found The Royal Ship and were not disappointed! The food was delicious and great value - we shared a starter then both had roasts and desserts, all of which were very much enjoyed. Possibly the best roast dinner...

We attended a 'farewell to some friends' party. There were 11 of us and we had booked in advance. We were shown to our table laid up in preparation. Here the service ended. We asked three times for someone to take our drinks order. It took 20 minutes for them to finally arrive. There was a specials board which nobody...

Very nice decoration and interesting photos makes it a nice and cosy place to eat. Food was mixed, excellent cheesy garlic bread and sticky toffee pudding. Fish and chips were OK, nice chips but mushy fish. Service was poor. Never asked if our food was OK or of we wanted any more drinks. Food came out too quickly (ok if...
