We stayed for two nights earlier this month, and we were both very impressed with the standard of the refurbishment of this character building, and the service and food that we enjoyed. The room we had was beautifully presented, the bed was delightfully comfortable, and the bath room stylish and efficient. The public areas of the hotel are tastefully decorated,... More

Stayed here for four nights on a business trip. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and I believe that they have recently been updated. They were painted in subtle colours and the bed was very comfortable. There was a nice tray of goodies like hot chocolate and biscuits, etc. They give you a mini flask of milk too, which is... More

Stayed with friends (3 couples) for two nights on 1st and 2nd April 2016. Over the two nights together we spent over £800. Our stay was enjoyable and I would really have liked to give it a 5 rating, unfortunately my overall impression was tarnished by the fact that the Television in my room would not work. The Manager said... More

Much improved decor and nice friendly environment. The menu offered a good selection but food service was really slow (over an hour to get 1st course which was a cold meat platter). I had lasagne which was a bit dry but liked the pulled beef aspect but overall a little disappointing. Good selection of wine and prices were OK for... More

The recent refurbishment of The Royal Ship Hotel, Dolgellau has been completed to a very high standard. I really like the open plan lay-out as well as the decor choice. Comfortable bedrooms with 'proper' milk rather than UHT. Lovely menu choice and very good food indeed. Parking to the rear of the hotel is an added bonus. Have already booked... More

I stayed for 2 night to walk Snowdon which is around a 1 hour drive away. The accommodation is a great style on the inside. The service was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole stay and we even ate in the restaurant which was a great atmosphere and a tasty selection of food. The double room was a perfect...
