Aber Cottage is graded as 3 Star by Visit Wales. The guesthouse is ideally situated in the town within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants and inns. Guests will appreciate the ambience of the traditional stone cottage with modern en-suite facilities to all rooms, with TV, Internet access, and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. Car parking, one per room, is in our own private, secure car park. The guest lounge and dining room has been decorated in a traditional style, as has the rest of the house, including guest bedrooms. There is a log burner in the guest lounge to relax in front of and a selection of books, maps and board games to enjoy. The dining room has a built in breakfast bar where guests can help themselves to cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fresh juice before enjoying their hot breakfast order. A cot and high chair are available for younger visitors. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets at the property.

Lovely guest house, everything you could possibly need, secure parking, garden area, very comfortable rooms, with very welcome refreshments. Breakfast was the best I've had staying in B&B, you can select what you want on your cooked breakfast, plus the extras, fresh fruit selection, cereals, and the marmalade was so morosh, extra toast was needed and included in price, was superb. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back, thank you so much. Can I also say this accommodation is covid secure, which was reassuring.

Booked last minute, reasonable price for B&B
Hard to find if not used to the area, but private parking to rear which was convenient
Hosts were lovely, very chatty and had loads of local knowledge.
Rooms were so clean and nice size, would have preferred a bigger mirror and plugs near mirror in order to get ready
Bathroom was great, so clean
Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Kept to social distancing
In the heart of Dolgellau so easy to pop out to pubs and restaurants in area without having to drive
Thoroughly enjoyed our few days away here

The hosts were incredibly attentive, they thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was comfortable and really clean- the only slight negative was that , as we were on quite a busy road the noise was quite disruptive. On our first night, the recycling bins were collected at 5:45am which was incredibly loud, and as we didn't know about this, we had slept with he window open (I am asthatic so this is better for me). It did not stop us enjoying our wonderful stay, but it's something to consider if you have children or any troubles sleeping. The decor of the b&b is absolutely beautiful, and you are in the prime location to walk around the lovely town of Dolgellau. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the local area, so make sure and ask them for suggestions. They recommended new places that we had never heard of, despite visiting for years.

We arrived feeling very tired and exhausted from our journey but once we had entered Aber Cottage we were welcomed by Caroline and Kevin, shown to our room and asked if we would like to go downstairs to the Dining Room for a cup of tea and a Welsh cake. This was very acceptable indeed.

Our room was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. I think Caroline had thought of everything, even down to sachets of hot chocolate. There were spare blankets in the wardrobe all neatly stored in zip plastic casing. In the bathroom we were supplied with a flannel each.

We were given suggestions as to where we might eat and chose to walk over the road to The Stag where Pizzas were served.

We were asked to make a choice for our breakfast the following morning and this was excellent. A selection of cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit, followed by our particular choice of cooked breakfast which was piping hot. We were sorry we had to leave to return home.

Amber Cottage is a beautiful Welsh Cottage. As soon as my husband and I arrived, we were welcomed. We were shown around and taken to our very clean room.

The Cottage is directly in the centre of Dolgellau - very close to the shops, bars and restaurants.
Caroline and Kevin, who are friendly hosts, serve a variety of food at breakfast, which is delicious; especially the bacon. Good coffee too.

We highly recommend staying here and will most definitely return.

Caroline and Kevin were great attentive and friendly hosts, they made us feel very welcome. They were very informative on the local area, with places to visit and good aces to eat and drink in the village. Breakfast was very good quality, well cooked and presented. Aber cottage was very clean and inviting, rooms were very comfortable with ensuite bathroom. Celebrated hubby's 60th birthday and Caroline and Kevin gave him a card and a bottle of prosecco, which we thought was a lovely touch. We went for a drink in a local pub and we bumped into the hosts we sat with them and had a few drinks and a chat. Would deffinatly stay at Aber Cottage again. Thanks Caroline and Kevin for making our stay so memorable.

Lovely stay and very pleasant and helpful hosts with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast offered a large selection of items and was beautifully cooked. Cosy and spotlessly clean room with comfortable bed. Being right in the town is handy for many eateries. Complete with secure parking area. You can't ask for anything more.

We stayed in the family room on new Years Eve, the hosts were so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble :) The bnb is spotlessly clean and the room was super cosy and comfortable. The town is lovely too lots of places to eat and drink. The breakfast was brilliant, you order the evening before and there's lots of choices and it was delicious. I would 100% recommend to stay here.. Its super x

This is a lovely b&b in a great location. We spent four nights here and had a good rest each night and a great breakfast every morning.
Caroline and Kevin are genuinely nice people and were a highlight of our time away, they gave us great advice on walks we may like and scenic driving routes. We're looking foward to going back.
