This pub is closed at present for a refurbishment - it doesn't mention this on the Wetherspoons web site - which is strange, but stayed opposite last night in the Punch Bowl so could see the extensive works. Allegedly reopening July, check it out then, am sure it will be fab

I recall walking into this place and having a very friendly feeling about it. There are loads of little rooms which break up the standard pub feeling and allow you to "withdraw" into a little room and enjoy some peace and quiet there. Some of the rooms are really nice and really quite lovely. The pub could be a bit...

I read the mixed reviews but decided to see what it is like myself partly because I have never stayed in a wetherspoons hotel. Regrettably the decor and rooms are in need of some serious tlc and the whole place is dated. Room had a sloping floor (before a drink was taken!) which was odd and a gap under the...

When I approached the bar there was only one other lady stood there ordering food and a man who had approached the bar seconds behind me. I stood next to the woman waiting for her to finish her food order (for quite sometime might I add as there was only a young male serving at this point) another woman joined...

Popped in for lunch and was disappointed. Out table was empty of glasses but had not been cleaned which was a poor start Other tables had plates left and weren't cleared up in a reasonable time. There was dust around the ledges and the general condition of the place looked tired and needed an uplift. Toilets were clean. Food took...

Very friendly & helpful staff from Manager to Housekeeping! My best friend & I have been meeting here for nearly six years as the hotel is perfectly situated between West Wales & the Midlands where we now live. This visit was made even more enjoyable by the welcome & attention we received by all.

Went for breakfast this morning, normally go to the punch house opposite which is much nicer but though we'd try somewhere else! There was only half a dozen people in there this morning, when the cooked breakfast came out it was luke warm! But what is worse is the customer service! Becky who took our order was horrendously rude and...

Fantastic prices for a few nights stay , the rooms are lovely and clean. Free WiFi, tea/coffee and freeview tv. Our room was lovely and quiet, I would highly recommend it's been a great stay. Parking is only a five min walk (found a free place to work) and it is in the centre so it's close to everything you...

Meet with mates to have food, had a beef burger and chips but wasn't the best burger didn't really taste of nothing really! Been to other weatherspoons and tasted much better. Some staff was friendly And some seem unhappy in their job. Would go again but only for drinks, not for the food!
