Ciderhouse Cottage, is a self catering cottage. One of three on Penylan Farm. A very well designed conversion, cosy and very comfortable. Well equipped. Very clean. Cathy and John are very friendly host nothing is to much trouble for them. We were made very welcome. They also do bed and breakfast. Although it is a working farm it is very...

We had a truly wonderful stay at Cider House cottage! Cathy and Dave were fabulous hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. The setting of their lovely working farm is breathtaking and the cottage was perfect - very cosy and homely which was exactly what we were after for our...

Penylan farm is at the top of a big hill (be warned, walkers!) which has great views of the surrounding countryside. It's about 2 miles up hill from the Offa's Dyke path, and is in a good spot to break up the trail from Monmouth to Pandy. Cathy and Dave were kind enough to drop us off and pick us...

It was the first time I'd been to Wales and it certainly won't be the last. Even their cows were lovely! Everything about our stay was stunning. Cathy and Dave were so kind. Thank you both. The sun came out to complete our trip.

We were part of a walking group on the Offa's Dyke Path and after a very wet afternoon we were collected by Cathy and Dave and then helped to dry out at Penylan Farm. The rooms were comfortable and we were treated to a lovely dinner and a good breakfast the following morning.

I recently stayed here during the weekend of the 22nd November 2014 as a friend of mine was getting married in The Bell, Skenfrith. The B&B was very clean and was also finished and maintained to a high standard. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Penylan Farm is set in the most beautiful countryside with amazing views and really friendly owner. Cathy couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible, especially for our elderly parents. We stayed in Beili Cottage which has two en-suite bedrooms (perfect for two couples) and is all ground floor accommodation which was also perfect in our case....

We stayed here for 8 nights on the run up to our wedding and loved it! Cathy & Dave are super and very welcoming. As are their dogs. The Mill cottage is so clean and comfortable with all necessary ammenities. Would not hesitate in recommending this place, it's a little haven in a hectic world. I hope we return soon!...

A wonderful location, if a little 'interesting' to find. But well worth it. So glad I decided to stay a little of the beaten track while on a short business trip. Such a change from sterile business hotels! Lovely room, clean and tidy. With everything I could need for an overnight stay. Thoroughly delightful hosts - Cathy & Dave. They...

We stayed in Beili Cottage for three nights whilst husband and son walked some of the Offa's Dyke route. Location was beautiful and the cottage was great in every way. Very well equipped clean and comfortable. The small courtyard was a wonderful sun trap. Dave the owner was very friendly but sorry we didn't get to meet Cathy as she...

“Our room in the main house was small but lovely, next time would choose the Mill (self catering accommodation) for the small extra price.”

“Whether in the farm house or the farm buildings all are very high standard. Choose Mill cottage as a couple or young family. Larger farm building conversion looks good for larger groups.”
