The building and grounds are stunning. The entrance hall was truly welcoming with a roaring fire, beautifully decorated Christmas tree and subtle Christmassy fragrance. We paused for a moment to absorb the atmosphere. Delightful! We went to a small desk and rang the bell for attention and Faye appeared. A really bubbly helpful member of staff who gave us a...

Had a slight problem with a dinner reservation prior to arriving which prompted rather unwisely to scan through all of the hotel's "terrible reviews" on TA as one does which resulted in me constructing a rather misinformed expectation of out dated customer service at this place as it was described as a bit fawtly towers like in it's approach. Totally...

The hotel itself has the most wonderful atmosphere, furnishings, food and staff and there is nothing to complain or be dissatisfied about. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always there to help make your stay a pleasure..The food was the best - presented beautifully and with style. We...

Just returned from a wonderful four night stay at Penmaenuchaf Hall, beautiful warm and friendly hotel in a stunning setting. Hotel staff are welcoming and professional, food is amazing, and rooms are both spacious and comfortable. We absolutely loved it. A beautiful house with a lovely warm atmosphere, and staff who gave that little bit extra to make you feel welcome and an honoured guest. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and served in delightful surroundings. Our next visit cannot come soon enough!

We spent 2 nights, midweek at this lovely hotel in mid October. The weather was good to us which made this hotel and location all the better. We upgraded to deluxe room (Vaughan) which gave us stunning views, larger bed, large bathroom/shower,fridge bar and dressing gowns. We stayed for a meal (included in deal) on the first night which although...

The wonderful architecture and beautiful gardens are the only positives of this property. It may have warranted awards years ago but not now. Badly furnished rooms, inappropriate family pictures every where. Stale biscuits in rooms. Questionable bottled soap (appeared to be cheap diluted dishwashing liquid). Had to request a heater as it was so cold. Dark musty entrance. No one...

The good thing about this hotel is that all the bedrooms are within the hall itself. We stayed in the Griffiths room, which had a lovely little roof terrace and delightful decor. There were three lovely lounges to sit in and relax all traditionally decorated, befitting this country house. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the service was very good.

Withdrawing room with wooden floors and beautiful rugs and sofas to die for!!! The evening meal was fabulous top quality and beautifully cooked as was the breakfast ,,freshly and individually prepared ( not buffet style)...
