fabulous place in a fabulous location. beautiful grounds, food, rooms, the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Had a lovely walk in the woods which are part of the ground and climbs right up onto walking routes. Usually keen walkers, but my partner was not able to walk far due to problem with foot, so will be back as...

We had a delightful time at the Penmaenuchaf Hall Hotel. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We had a super king bed, great as we are used to that at home. The bathroom was clean with a bath and shower over. It was cold the first night, with only a 3 bar towel rail to...

Recently stayed at the beautiful Penmaenuchaf Hall with my fiancé as my birthday treat, and wasn't it a lovely treat! I can't commend this hotel enough. From the minute we walked through the door we were greeted with warmth and great service. Firstly, the hotel itself is really well decorated and furnished. It has a luxury touch to it but...

We stayed at the Penmaenuchaf on the 22nd and 23rd March and had a wonderful time. The Hotel is just lovely with log fires, cosy sitting rooms and an impressive lounge area with a large fire place. We stayed in the Taylor room and were very delighted with this room. It's a good size and overlooked the front gardens. The...

You do need a car to access Penmaenuchaf Hall and there are no amenities within walking distance. However for a getaway break it really is good. The grounds are lovely with the views stunning. The place itself is kind of quirky, with every turn something different to look at.The staff are super friendly and helpful. Meals, either for breakfast or...

I have been visiting Dolgellau for 60 years and have despaired for decades about the low standard of eating out in the area - limited, it seemed, to sad Sunday roasts with overboiled veg or chips with everything. But a catering renaissance seems finally to be underway, with a few passable restaurants and a couple of really good ones. The...

We were delighted to be recommended this superb venue, for a romantic dinner, whilst staying in nearby Dolgellau, last Saturday. We were met by the owner, at the door, & immediately shown to the impressive drawing room, to enjoy an aperitif & select our dinner. The food, wine & overall ambience were complemented by the attentive staff, who provided us...

Mark, Lorraine and their excellent staff make every guest feel special. Their attention to detail ensures that your stay is comfortable and relaxed. The hotel has been done up beautifully. As always we had delicious food and the wine list is famous. Wonderful hotel to get away from it all.

We recently stayed here as a couple, as a 2-night break away, and we had a most relaxing time. The hall has been beautifully and painstakingly restored by the owners, and feels very special and luxurious, but also cosy and relaxing. The wood panelled lounge is what dreams are made of . . . . roaring log fire, endless comfy...
