My wife and I had heard about just how beautiful Portmeirion is, and decided to see for ourselves. We found out the hotel was having a New Year's Eve Gala, and they were offering a package which included rooms at either the hotel or the castle. We chose the castle. This is an almost magical place. The views are lovely....

We stayed at Castell Deudraeth for our wedding tasting at christmas time. We just stayed in a normal room, number 6 I believe (I am not a number, I'm a free man!). The room is large with a number of different lighting settings to create ambient settings. There is a small living area complete with a gas fire to set...

Had an excellent lunch with my wife food was excellent - only to be spoilt at checkout by being asked did I want to add a gratuity on my card. (I had the gratuity £5.00 - which was over 10% in my hand ready). Not used to being asked for a gratuity am afraid. Not happy !

Thank you for your feedback. Gratuity is always a matter for the customer. It's just that most card machines automatically offer this prompt for consumer convenience, as not everyone carries cash. It is not a personal request from the Castle staff, it's just an automated payment system. You'll find the same happens in many restaurants. We're sorry if it upset...

Very professional and attentive staff at a very busy time of year. Food excellent. Visited Portmeirion Hotel - equally impressive with beautiful outlook across the estuary.Really surprised and impressed to hear regular use...

Stayed one night at one of the village rooms in Portmeirion. The room was super comfortable, clean with modern decor. The shuttle mini bus picked us up right outside the room (you dial the hotel reception and they organise it for you straight away) to take us up to Castell Deudraeth Brasserie where we had booked a table. The maitre...

Spent an evening in this beautiful hotel. The room was vast and so comfortable. The bathroom had underfloor heating and the thickest, softest towels I've ever come across. The spacious bed was very comfortable and the full English breakfast was delicious. I can't fault this hotel and the Portmeirion village is magical at this time of year.

Our standard room was outstanding. We stayed at the Castle and dined at the Hotel on the sea front. Two people, dinner and cooked breakfast included was £129.99. Not only was it a bargain, it was a fantastic experience. We recommend this to anyone.

My wife booked two nights for my birthday we stayed in room 9 which consisted of a separate large bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. Bathrobe's, slippers and even sherry provided with a gigantic roll top bath and overhead shower. Eat in the restaurant on the first night and the lamb shank is to die for. It was apparent that many...
