We had a lovely family meal, food was great and all of the staff were brilliant, thanks for a great evening, will be back. There was a good ambiance in both the main bar and the other room (to the right on your way in) but I think the main bar is cosier.
We stayed here for 3 nights from 15th November, for our 1st anniversary, our first time although we had dined here previously. I cannot praise the hospitality of the staff highly enough. We dined on our first evening and we were not disappointed, the food is excellent 11 out of 10... the owner has such an accent for detail. We stayed in room 2 with our lovely dog , the room was impeccably clean, not a very big room, but everything we required with a view out over the Menai and the Snowdonia hills beyond .. I can not recommend this hotel enough and yes, we will be back. Thank you team Bishopgate ...
We spent one night at The Bishopsgate House Hotel en route to the Holyhead ferry. It is a charming, cosy hotel full of character. Yes, it may be 'old fashioned' but this just adds to the ambiance and good feel to the historic building. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and quiet night. We liked all the little extras, bottled water, real coffee, sherry, chocolates as well as a Jacuzzi bath and bath-robe. We loved to snug bar with its fire. The dining room staff served the most delicious food and rightly deserve their many awards. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and informative about the town and local area. This was definitely a good find for us and we'll certainly stay again on our journey from and to N. Ireland!
We (boyfriend and I) got a really good deal for this hotel through Travel Zoo (this included the fee for the hotel room, dinner and breakfast). The hotel is well located within Beaumaris, opposite the pier (where you can get boat trips to puffin island-weather permitting), and very close to the castle and other attractions. The hotel is also well situated to other pubs in the area and is about a 20-30 min drive from walking paths and other attractions in Anglesey. The hotel itself is a little bit shabby in places, but the room we were in was very clean, a good size and had a sea view which was lovely. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked- although the shower is quite weak (but nice and hot). The staff in the hotel are fantastic, all really pleasant and helpful. The food is also brilliant, our dinner was delicious, and there were plenty of options at breakfast. We chose a cooked breakfast and it was well cooked and a good size. There is parking behind the hotel.
Just went to hotel after a day in Beaumaris ( staying in Amlwck) for evening meal was met by the proprietor who made us feel very welcome. Sent into the bar part of hotel and thought that's where we would eat, later shown into a large lovely dining room where good and service was excellent.prices where reasonable as well. Would recommend as I would return again next time when in Beaumaris
