I've had the pleasure of staying at the Gazelle quite a few times. I've been travelling up to Bangor for business and staying usually about 2/3 nights per week for the past few weeks. To start with, the location is perfect. The views are simply breathtaking and the hotel is right on the shore. The rooms are great, I've stayed...

Aimed for this pub as a break from our hotel. Food was very good and quick - no problems at all, in fact recommended. However, regarding beer it was a huge disappointment. I know it was the end of Easter Monday but to only have Guinness, one cider and a lager on tap in a Robinsons pub was not what...

The hotel is in a lovely spot overlooking the strait. The food is very good, breakfast included. There is ample choice of meals from the bar in the evening - and all of a very good standard. A bit tricky to get to - down a steep narrow hill off the main road. But once you've negotiated it a couple...

We went for a meal and as expected the views are fantastic. It wasn't that busy just a couple of other tables taken. The waitress was not very friendly and seemed very rushed. The main course was lovely and we all enjoyed it. No one came to ask if we wanted desserts so we had to ask, the waitress was...

We stayed in the Annexe, room 9 with our dog as this is a dog friendly hotel. The hotel needs to get its act together if they want to continue as a hotel. The lawned path from the main road was unkempt and badly lit and the open garage by the restaurant surely must be a safety issue and is...

We had a lovely stay with fab staff and super food until the enthusiastic chef moved to pastures new. Could certainly not recommend the replacement. Room service was slack, certainly not hotel standard, with no automatic replenishment. However anything asked for was not a problem and the house keeper responsible for our room and breakfast service, was helpful and friendly....

And I had " fish suppers" which were delicious. As this hotel is right on the waters edge one feels relaxed and...

Stayed at the Gazelle 30th March-2nd April, in room 3. Hadn't read any reviews before booking, prefer to make my own mind up. Glad I did. Hotel was easy to locate but tricky single track road down to it so beware. First sight of view takes your breath away. Welcomed by Chris who is the friendliest Hotel proprietor I've met!...

For a fantastic location it would be really hard to beat. I would love to give this hotel a 5 star rating but I can't. Its really annoying because its little things that let this place down. If the owner reads this, please can you attend to a few simple things. I totally love where the place is and the...

Having read some reviews mention about the first impressions I thought they were a bit exaggerated but actually they were right. Whilst the building itself is ok, the garages to the side had doors hanging off with stuff thrown in and rubbish bins on view, it really wouldn't take much to sort this and it would make a difference. The...
