We stayed at Merton on our cycle ride from Porthmadog to Aberystwyth. Initialy only intending staying for one night we extended to two. Merton is a lovely B&B with lovely comfortable rooms, absolutely spotless, with terrific showers, heavenly beds and a fantastic breakfast. I have no negative feedback to give and our hosts were lovely too, helpful, friendly and very...

We were very impressed by the professional but informal approach at Merton Villa, typified by the arrangements for ascertaining our preferences for breakfast. We stayed in the Nautical room. Despite it facing the High Street there was no problem with traffic noise, the room was excellent, the price reasonable, and the location in the centre of Tywyn is very convenient.

Merton Villa is a well-appointed B&B. The standard of cleanliness is excellent with good quality bedding. The highlight is the breakfastime which is first class and includes the best bacon I have ever had in a B&B.

The owner was very informative of the local area and very accommodating when we had to leave quite early on our last day. The High Street is very quiet but a little way from the seafront. The beach is fantastic.

Having stayed at many hotels and grown up in the hotel trade I can honestly say that Merton villa is one of the best places I've stayed and better than anywhere around mid wales I've stayed at. Only 3 letting rooms, but attention to detail, cleanliness, the best (quality) breakfast and the friendliness of the owners make the stay perfect.

Stayed at Merton Villa along with some other family members for a brief visit. After a warm welcome I was shown to my room, the Nautical double, which faced onto the high street. The large bed was extremely comfortable and there was no street noise (I appreciate it was February so quiet season but would have expected some.) A kettle,...
