Fab pub we stayed in room 1 very welcoming and traditional place very old and original. Proper good pub gub . Rooms were very large and decor exactly how you would expect an old Inn . Unfortunately the only spirits here on this occasion was behind the bar. Thanks for great service.

I have visited this pub' on half a dozen occasions in the last year and have always enjoyed a warm welcome and, in winter, the warm fire. I usually pop in for a drink after climbing the nearby Skirrid Mountain before getting the 'bus home. The beer is good and the food also. There is plenty of seating both inside...

Came here with a group of friends for a ghost hunt night. We paid Haunted Rooms £59 each, for a two course meal and the ghost night. When we arrived the pub was full, both inside and out. We were directed to a side room and invited to sit at a table with four other people. The hosts then took...

For Halloween we came to meet the spirts of the skirrid Inn! Fantastic fun for everyone. The food was great and the entertainment. Me and my partner would visit again. Lovely pub, friendly staff wouldn't stay the night though after the ghost stories haha.

When one visits Wales' oldest Inn you don't expect shiny, sparkling anything. However the numerous ornaments on display appear lovingly cherished and the warmth of welcome is second to none. Nothing fancy about the food, good honest "pub grub" with great service. A definite keeper for our next trip to hometown Abergavenny.

I am writing this review on behalf of my fiance and his three friends for whom I arranged the trip. I rang to reserve a table for them to have a meal, but also, as they enjoy walking, (they go regularly to different places around wales) explained to the lady on the phone that they needed to be able to...

7 of us stayed at the inn. Excellent evening meal with a real log fire to keep us warm. Exceptionally friendly & polite landlord Jeff & his staff. Bedrooms with en suite comfortable & suitable for their 11th century surroundings. Bacon rolls & cup of coffee breakfast set us nicely for the day ahead. The Skirrid Inn has a history...

Lovely friendly staff. Eaten here numerous times and food always lovely. One of our favourite places to eat. Love the character and history of the Inn. Would highly recommend for lunch or evening meal.

I only had coffee and tea with my mom. They were really nice and they let us look around at the history and everything. You can see where the supposed hanging marks are. And the little back yard is really nice. The front door that's is really old is definitely a site to see!

Our party visited on two consecutive nights. The welcome was friendly, and staff knew your preferences by the second visit to the bar - excellent. On the first night one of the beers was cloudy, but that had been solved by the second visit. The food was freshly cooked, very plain, and served in large portions. On our walking trips...
