We have been coming here for about fours years. We have stayed in TyTwt and the Granary. We have brought family members with us and everyone loves this beautiful place. It is all self catering and the hosts Shelley & Joe are such lovely kind people, nothing is too much trouble for them. You can walk across their 32 acres of land, feed their sheep, sit by their babbling brook in the valley, watch wildlife, red kites, buzzards, and much, much, more. There is a yoga studio for your use, exercise equipment, bar-b-q, fire pit and even a small chapel. WiFi is available in the Granary. This is such a serene place, ideal for rejuvenating your spirits. Lampeter is about 15 minutes drive and about 18 - 20 miles from New Quay, Aberystwyth, Aberaron, so much to do. If you wish to hike there are plenty of lanes and fields to walk. We love it here and we will keep return as long as we can.

We stayed here a few weeks ago on a random adventure from north wales for the evening. We found and booked Ty Twt just outside of Lampeter. We arrived and were greeted by Shelly who was a lovely host and very helpful in terms of where we could find everything. We stayed during a storm but we still made the best of this lovely little area, huddled into the little shed next door and cooked some BBQ food while looking out at the wind and rain! The Ty Twt itself was stunning, into a little cosy hovel with absolutely everything you need to have yourself a lovely little stay! the garden was massive and the room has plenty of space for 2! Very relaxing evening overall leaving us both wishing we had more time to spend there. So we decided to book to go in a few weeks time for a couple of nights to properly enjoy the lovely little Ty Twt, so glad we found this place! highly recommend

Arrived a couple of hours before Storm Callum and found Ascension to be everything we'd hoped it would be. Shelley and Joe made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Storm Callum decided that we'd have to remain indoors but that was no hardship. We'll do it again definitely.

I cnnot add much more than what has already been said in earlier reviews except to agree with them. Shelley & Joe are a lovely helpful couple You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay right down to a collection of DVDs and books as well as a small but adequately equipped kitchenette. If you really need access to the internet that can be done with the 3G signal available as well as the sitting room beside the main cottage which has a router and broadband but hey it's mid Wales so just kick off your shoes, relax and chill out.

We have just returned from 2 nights in this little haven. Ty Twt is perfect for 1 or 2 people who wish peace and tranquility. It is located in a quiet location and is perfect having everything you need even a bath large enough to stretch out in! Outside there is a patio area with fire pit and amazing views. The owners live a few hundred meters away but you would not know they were there unless you needed something, it is an ideal base for exploring the West Wales countryside with beautiful walks nearby and the Red Kites in abundance.
