Stayed for a few days while enjoying the local countryside. Great place to get some reading and writing done: the room was comfortable and tastefully furnished, there are some great walks in the area, and the hostess (Lane) was incredibly accommodating! She made wonderful breakfasts, and was always ready with tea, coffee, or an interesting story! The bed was incredibly...

Thank you, and you are most welcome to stay again any time -- especially if you can arrange to bring the fair weather with you, as you did on your recent visit. It has been almost summery ever since.

Our initial impression of this b and b was influenced by the anxiety and subsequent lack of welcome displayed by our hostess on the arrival of two wet walkers. It was the only b and b on the whole walk where I felt a nuisance. The layout of this b and b is, perhaps, not conducive to coping with wet...

Good to note that you had an "excellent night's sleep, enjoyable breakfast and a pleasant stay". Staff do have a few extra steps to follow when welcoming walkers arriving in wet weather, for the safety and comfort of all our guests. But of course it is always nicer to walk in fine weather, so glad to see the weather improved...

Our stay at Offa's Dyke House was most enjoyable. Despite the fact that this accommodation is just about as close to the town centre as its possible to get, with all the shops, cafes, pubs etc very nearby, our second floor room was quiet with a view over to the surrounding hills. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom...

The Offa Dyke House is a real find for walkers passing Knighton! We were doing the Offa Dyke path walk and dreaded to stay in one of the grimy hotels here, but luckily found this friendly, clean, quiet and tastefully decorated alternative. The hostess, Lane, is very welcoming and full of stories, if you want to hear them. She gave...

This was the final night of a 5 day hike from Chepstow along the Offa's Dyke trail. There were 2 of us hiking and we'd just finished our hike and had a cuppa in a nearby tea room when a lady approached us. There was a slight mix up as the lady turned out to be the landlady for the...

My cousin and I stayed with Lane at her lovely b&b at the end of a trip walking part of offas dyke. The rooms are lovely, very tasteful, comfortable beds and free wifi. Breakfast was excellent and Lane very accommodating. Bit better than the average bed and breakfast meriting the slightly higher price.

Lovely quiet room with a bathroom of my own across the hallway. Beautiful bed linen and most important of all a proper desk to write at - in fact I had the choice of two desks and an easy chair. Generous food and a lovely, helpful host.

A place to get away and relax, the hospitality was great and I would recommend it to anyone. A peaceful place, it is not noisy very quite. I enjoyed the nice view of the mountain, as it has a lot of nature trails.

Stayed here for two nights in September 2015, when returning to complete a walk on Offa's Dyke Path. My room was at the front of the house overlooking the town. One night here, it was stated it was boutique I would argue against this more shabby chic. Room was very clean, bed was small double and creaky but the bedding was of a high standard and fairly comfortable. Glad you found the bed comfortable, and staff welcoming. Being in a conservation area there are limits to the internal modifications permitted, and naturally we are unable to alter external features governed by the local council. These are typical of this rural region, and likely to also affect adjacent properties. Please to hear you enjoyed the lovely bath.
