We had a spacious and well-furnished room looking out on the lake. Being August the hotel was busy and parking was a problem for some latecomers. Unusual approach to drink service - queue to order at the rather small bar and then they serve it at your table (which may well be in

Having stumbled across a Travelzoo offer for this hotel, my partner and I decided that a break away was definitely needed.

As I’m sure most discerning travellers do, I read with interest the reviews on TripAdvisor to get a general sense of the place. You always come across a mi

This was my 60th birthday treat from my partner, one that I was really looking forward to.
The room appeared fine on first entering but the 'garden view' was a stone wall with the staff accommodation above and a track, with the pub to the right, which was very noisy the first ni

We love this hotel for its unique view and old fashioned service. The dinners are superb and there is plenty choice at breakfast where you sit by the window overlooking the lake surrounded by beautifully coloured trees at this time of the year. It is so peaceful. The spa is wor

Are there any mini fridges in the rooms?
We had a premier lake view room, room 3 I think, and that didn't have one.

Are bathrobes provided in the rooms/spa? I've got a massage booked and don't want to have to get dressed before returning to my room to prepare myself for a wedding, would rather nip from spa to room in a robe.
Yes robes are provided in your room

Can dogs stay in the room with you? Where are they allowed to be in the hotel?
Yes, they have dog friendly rooms. They give you a stuffed dog (Toy) to hang on your door handle If you leave your dog unattended in your room. I think dogs are allowed in the bar too, however, we didn't take our in as he was too shattered after his walks. We had a lovely room with balcony over looking the lake. Hope this helps.

(1) Are guests free to use the jacuzzi or do we have to pay extra? (2) For the romantic 2 night get away, are 3 course dinners included in the price?
Three course dinners are included both nights. The foods good but beware the brasserie is like a high Street pub. Anyone can use it and you can be tabled next to folk dressed for performing ground work, mid, dirt, etc. The first night eating in the main restaurant is very good. Second night in the brasseries is dreadful. Sad thing is, nobody from the hotel follow up any complaints, comments and reviews.

If you have taken a disabled person, how easy was it for them to move around with a 4 wheel rollator in and around the hotel. Also how relaxed is the dress code. Any comments welcome.
Hi, Have read the previous responses that have been sent to you and cannot think of any additional remarks to make, other than to wish you a great visit to this lovely area. Regards Ken
