Hotel in amazing location looks like it was once the epitome of elegance still is but could be slowly deteriorating, rooms are large with some beautiful pieces of classic furniture but sadly some of it is very badly stained/damaged in fact not what you'd find in an everyday b&b

I really don’t know where to start, and it is with some sadness that I find myself writing this review, when previously I have left glowing reports. But having had time to think, I have decided some things need to be said. Firstly I have stayed three times at the hotel, dined

Where to start....we had a great couple of days, and got a great 2 night deal, the views are to die for. BUT, horrified to see a 1 star food hygiene review. Really?! I don't want to know why. The restaurant food itself was great perfectly cooked steaks at dinner, and the eggs

We had a premier lake view room, room 3 I think, and that didn't have one.

Yes, they have dog friendly rooms. They give you a stuffed dog (Toy) to hang on your door handle If you leave your dog unattended in your room. I think dogs are allowed in the bar too, however, we didn't take our in as he was too shattered after his walks. We had a lovely room with balcony over looking the lake. Hope this helps.

Three course dinners are included both nights. The foods good but beware the brasserie is like a high Street pub. Anyone can use it and you can be tabled next to folk dressed for performing ground work, mid, dirt, etc. The first night eating in the main restaurant is very good. Second night in the brasseries is dreadful. Sad thing is, nobody from the hotel follow up any complaints, comments and reviews.
