Had a weekend in Mid Wales and stayed one night at the White Lion Hotel. Pleasant room, friendly staff and good food. Shame Wales lost the match but that didn't damper our spirits. Would recommend this hotel and pub.

Stayed last October for one night, had a room with no on-suite facilities but no problem as everything and more was just the other side of the corridor. The place was clean and full of character being an old coaching inn. Large comfortable room, fantastic cooked breakfast in the deal. Had a great evening meal with a lovely pint of...

Have visited before and decided on another sudden visit. Booked at a very reasonable price the same day as arrival, check in time was up to 22:30. Had great fun travelling with accidents and closed roads resulting in us arriving at nearly midnight. We phoned the hotel at around 22:00 to explain, the manager (Ifor) told us not to worry...

Really lovely little hotel. Beautiful food, lovely attentive staff, cosy warm room. Slightly too many nicknacks taking up precious surface space in room but non the less appreciated how lovely things were a priority to the decor. Negatives: some young men attempted to get into my room at 12:30 through the fire escape staircase!! WiFi is intermittent and made it...

Our first visit to this pub was a very satisfactory experience. My wife and I stopped for lunch on a very cold Friday. The place was warm, busy and offering two mains from the standard menu for £15, about half normal price. Although busy, the staff dealt with the rush very efficiently and we had only about ten minutes to...

Firstly what a good location with parking, I stayed in room 2 which had every thing that I would need on a short trip. Good heating for the winter, they even had an extra electric heater if I was cold but never needed to use it. Was wonderful they had a free disco to bring the new year in. The...

We stayed two nights in room 1 with a double and single bed. The single room was hidden away from the double to allow privacy. Free WiFi helps keep a teenager entertained. Room was well presented with plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. We ate in the bar which was very busy. A good menu choice with local produce. The...

Fantastic food, great value for money. A good atmosphere, we were made to feel very welcome. Will defiantly visit again when in the area. Home cooked food, with best chips we have had in a long while!

We stayed here two nights. Rooms comfortable and clean, nothing fancy. Ate in restaurant both nights, food is good pub grub, with several veggie option and specials board. Good portion size, lovely and hot, served very speedily. Friendly staff, nice informal atmosphere. All in all very good value.

Not the most modern hotel in the town but a really friendly staff, a good place to stay with excellent food and ideally situated to explore surrounding places of interest. Stayed here for three nights. Bed in room one could do with a new mattress, lighting was not very bright in the room and a little decorating would be welcomed,...
