Lovely meal, cheesy garlic bread delicious! Had coffee in garden to start, just some tables and fruit trees. Could take dogs in so sat in snug to eat, very nice. Went on Wednesday which is market day so quite busy.

I booked this Hotel as I was so pleased with my stay in August 2015 and I can honestly say I wish I hadn't. Upon arrival it was quite busy but the young lady who was trying to book us in was being shouted at to sort the glasses out, thankfully she told the other staff member that she would...

We stopped for lunch at 1.30 here. The barmaid was having an intriguing conversation with a friend or off-duty colleague, while taking our order. While hearing about their drunken exploits of the night before was interesting, it didn't get the order taken in a timely manner, or the table we were at cleared from the previous users ... the food...

I booked the White Lion for a family event close by, on arrival we ate in the bar and were quite pleased with what we'd ordered. Our family room (No 1) was very pleasant and actually had a separate room for the third bed which was unexpected. The furnishings were homely and bright and the room was nice and clean....

I stayed here with a friend while walking Glyndwr's Way. After giving us the wrong room and charging us nearly twice the advertised price, they finally put us in a room with a door that wouldn't lock. The staff were unfriendly and incompetent through the whole stay. Breakfast was perhaps the sole redeeming feature. Don't give this place your business.

We stayed here for two nights and found the accommodation okay but as stated in previous reviews, rather basic and dated. The room we had was small with very little space to put bags, get dressed etc. it had an en-suite which was a decent size. the room was clean but was not serviced very well at all for the...

Called in for a drink and a sandwich to break my journey, found the staff having to cope with no running water due to a burst water main. They were cheerful and very helpful, my order was taken and served quickly. The staff directed me to the emergency chemical toilet apologising for the inconvenience. The food was really nicely presented...

We were a large party but they fitted us in at short notice and looked after us really well. It was a busy Friday evening but the staff made sure that we all had what we needed and the service was quick and efficient. Food was cheap and cheerful pub food, with some great 'specials' and we all enjoyed our...

Friendly, helpful staff, good beer. Reasonably priced home made pub food and good portions.. If you like a busy local pub with large TV screen this could be for you. There is a separate dining area which was quieter if you waned to get away from the bar.area. However, if you like your home comforts you may be disappointed. Our...
