We were staying a 50 minute walk away but decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food fantastic. My lamb was to die for and huge! The server gave us quite the historical blurb on the hotel which we loved.

Spent one night, with dinner and breakfast. Food was good, welcome was great. Good ale behind the bar. Not pricey and excellent value. Room was comfortable, a good size and shower was excellent. Will return.

Stayed for one night with our dog as we travelled around North Wales and will be going back for more. The hotel welcomes dogs and well behaved humans and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was cosy and had everything you could wish for and was clean and quiet. The hotel oozes history and the breakfasts were superb. Views...

We stayed the night after a failed walk up Cadair Idris (due to the weather). However, our weekend was not spoiled as we checked in earlier than expected and settled in to our lovely rooms which were spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed was amazing! We started the evening with a drink in the residents lounge and followed this with...

We stayed here for one night on our way up to Snowdon on Sunday 17th July. The owner was very welcoming and a lovely lady. We had Sunday lunch which was amazing especially the Yorkshire puddings!!! The room was modern with a rustic twist which was lovely. The room was very warm but I shouldn't complain as it was a...

We happened to stop for lunch on our way to our holiday cottage in Dolgellau. We had 8 adults and 3 children and as soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. We were given a private room that had comfy sofas as well as a large dining table, which gave the adults plenty of room to relax...

Stayed here for 1 night on a rainy weekend in July. My husband and I just needed a night away, doing nothing other than drink a bottle of wine and have a nice meal. We got exactly that. I had the blade of welsh beef and my husband had the welsh lamb, both cooked to perfection and full of flavour....

We visited this restaurant twice this week with friends in their 80's and we had dogs with us. We were all made very welcome and water was provided for our dogs. The food was very good. My ratatouille was very tasty and the fish and chips were wonderful. We had two lovely leisurely meals and will definitely visit again the...
