I am not one for reviews but in this instance, it`s a pleasure. Helen and I have been staying at Plas Mawr whenever we visit two of our favourite places, Ynys-Hir RSPB and Cors Dyfi (Ospreys). Tina and David have always made us very welcome and we often feel a little sad when we have to leave, our stay has...

Stayed here in May 2015 for two nights - lovely large room and ensuite. Breakfast was delicious. Owners are very friendly and hospitable. Only downside was straight onto a fairly busy road which we weren't expecting.

Thank you for your review, and sorry to hear that your stay was not 100% to your expectations. We do state clearly that we are adjacent to the road, and have installed secondary glazing in all front facing rooms to mitigate any noise. Traffic is very low overnight, and all parking is off the road. I am glad that despite...

We really enjoyed our stay at Plas Mawr. Good location right next to ynys hir bird reserve, and near the osprey sanctuary. very welcoming, professional hosts who produced a great breakfast with lots of choice. Good attention to detail- all the books, maps, snacks, games provided. This makes the difference between a good and a great B and B.

Came to this neck of the woods for business and needed a B+B for 4 days, Plas Mawr was just down the road from my work. The house is right on the main road and my room faced towards it but I found it quiet and not a problem at all. I arrived at 8pm, Dave greeted me and welcomed...

This is our 3rd stay at this lovely guest house. Very high standards. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere, you are made to feel most welcome. Great position to visit Ynis Hir as it situated just in front of the reserve. You are able to walk to the reserve. I can fully recommend a stay here and breakfasts are amazing.

We stayed here to visit the Dyfi Osprey Project (amongst other places) which is just a few miles down the road. Without doubt, an excellent place to stay. Very comfortable, fabulous food (and lots of it !!) and a very friendly welcome from Tina & Dave. Not our first visit, and hopefully not our last.

We decided to stay at Plas Mawr as were keen to visit relatives nearby and also go to the RSPB reserve at Ynys Hir as well as the local Wildlife Trust reserve, to see ospreys. It is an interesting old house of great character, which has been sympathetically updated and very comfortably furnished. Each bedroom has TV, free WiFi, en...

Totally recommend this fantastic little B&B! Perfectly located by Ynis Hir Rspb & with Machynlleth easily accessible too. We ate at No. 21 which was really yummy food. Booking is required as it gets quite busy! A visit to the Osprey Project is a must too! :-) Thanks Tina & Dave! We'll be back!
