Spent a week in Presteigne last week and would recommend the Radnorshire Arms, a family run business, the staff being so polite, helpful, efficient. Used the RA for Sunday lunch, weekday lunch and dinner with my two cousins (who live nearby) and their wives. The food is basically pub grub, but very good using fresh vegetables. Lunch time sandwiches are...

My husband and I are regulars at the Rad each weekend.I was reading a review from someone from Australia and I heartily agree with her comments. Kirsty makes a really good latte we always enjoy ourselves each time we go.Sam does a thoroughly excellent job running the hotel always with a smile on her face

We stayed in room 4 with beautiful soft furnishings, a king sized bed and jacuzzi bath with shower over. Spacious and light, with windows on three sides and a great position over the gardens. We loved this historic and characterful building ( dates from 1615) and found Presteigne a much nicer location to stay in than Knighton where we had...

The staff of this hotel deserve medals. They are so friendly and helpful one doesn't like to criticize anything at all. But honestly, they are battling against considerable odds.... To be fair, some of the rooms have been improved. My own room was comfy, with a good bed, enough storage space and an en suite bathroom which was adequate although...

Arrived at 8.50 on Saturday for a meal. Told that they stopped taking meal bookings at 8.45 although their website says 9pm Asked if they could squeeze us in as only 2 of us but told not possible as chef already had a table of 7 to do. What kind of chef can't cope with another 2 on top of...

The home of Queen Elizabeth 1's courtier Sir Christopher Hatton, this hotel is an interesting old building in the centre of an attractive small town in Mid Wales. Some of the rooms have been modernised while others remain more traditional. We had one of the latter, and it was really nice, spacious and comfortable. However, first impressions were not good....

Dear Millie Many thanks for staying with us and for the review, Thank you for your kind words about the team, they are the heart of the Hotel. We will shortly be undergoing a refurbishment and do hope you get to visit us again in the near future, in the mean time the gardens have been trimmed back, signage for...

I went for Sunday lunch here, I was not staying at the hotel. The positives were that the historic timber framed building itself is stunning both inside and out, it felt clean and cosy The staff were very helpful and service was good. The White wine (a Chilean Chardonnay) was nice and the Latte I had was nice. The oak...

Thank you to Rowena for being a fantastic host and help whilst staying here. I enjoyed the hospitality and the room I had very much. The hotel has a cosy littler pub with an open fire. Food is ok, standard pub type fair but all good.
