#3 of 8 B&Bs / Inns in Barry
New farm is situated on the outskirts of Barry along the coastal road. Close to many attractions and places of interest. We are a working mixed farm with 320 blonde X charolais suckler herd and we farm approximately 700 acres. The house dates back to the early 17th century with the original oak beams in the dining room. We have been established as a B&B since 1984 and offer local knowledge, good Welsh hospitality with warm, comfortable, refurbished rooms. Our breakfasts are renowned. Visitors return year after year. You can walk to the pebble beach through our farm and Porthkerry Park. The train station is 5 min car drive away(park and ride) and the bus route passes the farm gate to Cardiff and the airport. Cardiff is approximately 20 minutes by car or train and the airport only 5 minutes.

We all stayed here as couples or friends for a dance competition taking place in Barry. Very easy to find on the main road and very welcoming :) rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Lovely living room space for us all to chat in and the breakfasts are great. Good value and we want to book for next year already :) hosts are very friendly and are there when needed and give space when wanted :) would highly recommend here to anyone :)

We stayed in New Farm for 3 nights and it was was wonderful. Our kids were allowed to feed the chicken and we could visit the farm. Our hosts Sara, An and Wendy were very helpful friendly and informative. The rooms were clean and our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cardiff and its surroundings. Mil and family Belgium

New Farm was a perfect family destination for a nearby family party. 16 members of our family - all ages including 6 children took over the whole farmhouse. Our hostess Sarah could not have been more accommodating. We felt we had personal attentive service for two nights and the traditional farmhouse breakfast was excellent and served by lovely local ladies who were charming and kind. All in all a lovely homestay. Gillie Marrion

We arrived late one evening (with a reservation). Rooms were ready and the staff was very warm and welcoming after our long journey. The following day our two very children enjoyed seeing animals on this working farm. Fun for the whole family. The breakfast was great and the owner was very kind and generous.

Stayed here last night on return from holiday. A few minutes by taxi from the airport, excellent location. Room was sooess and very welcoming and nicely decorated. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room and fast wi-fi. Breakfast was tasty,a good range if cereals and spreads. The full English was well cooked and nicely presented- all local produce and the homemade marmalade is not to be missed. On leaving, i had an issue with my car and frozen brakes, this was sorted out for me effortlessly so i could leave. Overall, excellent service, excellent breakfast and superb value for money with extremely accommodating hosts. Do not hesitate to book 😍😍
