Visited Whispers Restaurant (Aberthaw House Hotel) the other Friday evening and had a wonderful , enjoyable and memorable evening. The welcome by the owners and staff was excellent. Had a few drinks in the bar prior to meal which was warm , log fire , cosy and quirky with great atmosphere . The menu was varied (spoilt for choice) - that we`ll have to have another visit ! The food was absolutely delicious - very well sourced (locally) , prepared , cooked and presented - all washed down with a lovely bottle of wine. The restaurant again was cosy (another real fire) , pleasant with a lovely feel , ambience and atmosphere. Would recommend booking as bar and restaurant are not large - but that adds to the exceptional "personal touch" We had a very pleasant , enjoyable and relaxing evening and experience. Many thanks to one and all for making our evening so memorable. We will be back. Best wishes - Steve and Jenny (Thorne)

Same friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere but the restaurant no longer serves tapas which is a real shame. There are dishes on the starter menu which would be nice as a tapas style main meal but unfortunately we weren’t allowed to order this as the new kitchen layout cannot accommodate it!
