We stayed here for 2 nights (weekend of the England v Wales rugby match), as it was our daughter's wedding. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable. We stayed in a superior twin room, which was in the building opposite the Inn, and it was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent, and there was a...

We stayed here because of the extortionate prices of Cardiff hotels during rugby matches. Getting to Cardiff was simple as the hotel is 15 minutes from Pontypridd station. The location is lovely, the rooms nicely appointed and the breakfast both tasty and filling. I would recommend the hotel for anybody visiting the area and wanting to avoid excessive costs

Beautiful location surrounded by lakes, John and Barbara fantastic hosts, friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend although as its a little off the beaten track (suited us) transport is essential.

Absolutely awful. Reception on arrival was hostile to say the least. No information on breakfast times or checkout. When we dared ask the owner on why there was no running water to have shower we were met wth extreme hostility and told to pack our bags and leave! This was after drinking alcohol on their bar all afternoon. On having...

Stayed one night when visiting family locally. Despite a large party staying (for a baby shower!) the room was quiet, clean with good facilities. The hosts where fantastic, very welcoming and very jolly.

We had a pleasant stay here for a couple of days, it would have been a great base for staying longer and visiting, had we the time. It is situated in wonderful countryside with great views; the whole area (fishing lakes & unspoilt countryside) just makes it so easy to relax. The owners (John & Barbara) made us feel welcome...

The reception we received from staff was reserved: no greeting as such and we were sent out into the dusk alone to find our room across the courtyard. The room was extremely basic and the quality of furnishing cheap including a desk drawer that wouldn't stay shut and faux leather sofa (i.e. plastic). There was no bath in the bath...

“If you are a light sleeper, you may wish to request a ground floor room if in the separate block of 10 (two storeys of 5) as you'll be sleeping under the roof and can hear it raining on the slates. I personally find that relaxing, but not everyone does.”
