We were with a large group that rented out the whole place with everyone paying for their own room. Our room was an impressive size with a king bed, 2 small closets, plenty of drawers, and a balcony. Water stain on the ceiling in the bedroom and remnants of mud dobber nests in the bathroom. The room had nice dark-stained wood which was oiled and left our hands greasy. Rooms were cleaned daily. It was fairly quiet as far as not being able to hear the rooms next door; however, you could hear people in the hallway and in the lobby. We were in one of the furthest rooms from the lobby. Also, they charge 500 pesos for a lost room key card ($26.55 USD) which I found to be absurd considering we paid $750 USD to stay there for 3 nights ($250 USD per night). There are no restaurants, no bar, no ice, and no room service on site except for drinks at the bar. We did order drinks & burgers at the pool. When the burgers came, we were charged for 2, but only received one. This place is more like an event center with lodging than a hotel. Pool has an infinity edge. Hacienda is within walking distance to the beach and San Pancho with restaurants that seem to mostly only accept pesos. We did use an ATM near the beach. Inexpensive taxi ride from San Pancho to Sayulita for more shopping and restaurants.

Stayed in hacienda San Pancho for 5 nights. When we got there our room was nice and clean but the view was to the parking lot, even though the hotel was not fully booked they did not change our room... no restaurants at hotel: NOTHING, the beach club had a nice area for a bar, absolutely no one from the hotel was there. They did the minimum, had no idea about anything (the gym was being remodeled and when we asked about it they didnā€™t know) the only oneā€™s who were nice and attentive were Alex and Alberto. Not worth what itā€™s worth.. they are very close to become a 5 star hotel as it is beautiful but very badly managed

A wonderful place. Although several of the places and service that were offered are already out of service it is still an excellent place to relax and rest.
Super attentive hotel lobby staff as well as maintenance and cleaning staff.
It requires a little more attention in the maintenance of some areas but this does not prevent enjoying the stay

We were staying here to attend a wedding in San Pancho. The hotel is a 5-10 minute cab ride from the actual town of San Pancho.

Even though I had booked a room with a pool, I did not get one - instead I got one with a "terrace", which is really just a lounge chair outside, with 0 privacy. No amenities in the room. TV has 6 channels.

There are no food or drink options on the property (have to call delivery). To get to the pool, you need to walk 0.25 miles or get a ride in the one old golf cart. No beach access.

Will not stay here again.

Hacienda San Pancho is an amazing retreat just minutes from the heart of San Pancho!

I recently had my wedding at Hacienda San Pancho. We booked all 18 suites for my friends and family. The rooms were spacious, clean, luxurious, and modern. Some of the suites had plunge pools, which were perfect for a quick cool down. The amenities were divine--light breakfast in the morning, wifi in the lobby, huge pool, workout room, outdoor art, and more.

Gretel is definitely the top wedding planner in the region. Our wedding was perfect and filled with beautiful surprises and details. She was easy to work with and made sure everything was stress free for our wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better location or a better staff to help us pull off our wedding in Mexico. We hope to return every year with friends because this place is such a gem.

I would give Hacienda San Pancho and Gretel 10 stars if tripadvisor allowed it.

What a week! Beyond my expectations. I had read the reviews and so knew that Hacienda was going to be a bit of an unusual experience, but I didn't know that it was going to be so utterly perfect for what we wanted. If you are looking for a big hotel with a pool and a restaurant, this is not your place. If however you want a authentic Mexican experience, waking to the sound of Cacique birds and roosters, in a grand old style Hacienda w tall ceilings and dark wood and white washed walls. A simple breakfast of toast and coffee left out for you. A 5 min walk (or golf cart if you need a ride) down a lovely jungle path alongside a river lush w birdlife to arrive at a spectacular private pool at edge of beach. We spent days lounging at beach, then would walk down the beach further to San Pancho for lunch. Or on evenings we would cross the foot bridge at entrance to Hacienda and walk 5 mins in to town, past the soccer field and fruit carts and taco stands. The wifi in the room itself was spotty but in the lobby and terrace strong and consistent. The TV in the room only had 5 channels but it was great for CNN in Spanish and dubbed movies. There is a fridge in the room so we stocked up in town. The hotel staff was attentive and so helpful, Alejandra, Eloy, Jacquelin. They went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met, arranged a mountain bike trip for us one day and a brunch at the Polo grounds another day. Truly a hidden treasure get-away. HIGHLY recommended!
Peaceful, authentic, clean, private, gorgeous, simple yet elegant, spectacular pool and beach, friendly helpful staff. Didn't need a restaurant.
San Pancho is about 45mins North of Puerta Vallarta airport. Still lots of gringos and surfer culture in town, but not so touristy as Sayulita
