Solé Miami seems to be a polarizing choice among travelers, with its enviable beachfront location often lauded. While the views and beach access win guests over, there are grumbles about the resort and valet fees which detract from the perceived value. Opinions about the atmosphere are split; some visitors enjoy the stylish vibe, but others feel let down by a dated ambiance. The quality of service and room conditions receive mixed feedback, with cleanliness being generally appreciated but room upkeep and service consistency falling short for some.

This is the first time ever writing a review of any type. I was always of the mind set that anyone who wrote a review of any length did it because of the bad time they had.
This review is the exception to that opinion.

The first thing I need to mention is that we arrived at the Sole Miami on 3/18/2020. The Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus) was changing everyone’s situation by days if not hours.
The weather in Sunny Isle Florida was beautiful and the hotel location on the beach was great, it was also a short walk to restaurants and shopping areas. Unbeknownst to us all restaurants were close except for takeout the day before we arrived.
Our first impressions of the staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. The condition of the lobby and front desk was pleasing to the eye and very clean. I want to mention my wife owns and operates a small cleaning business and takes note of the cleanliness of where we stay (she has a very high standard).
Considering the current situation, the staff upgraded us to a suite with a small kitchenet. They realized we could not go out to eat and would need to bring food back to our room. The room was a delight with floor to ceiling windows, a large balcony with beautiful views, and again meeting my wife’s standard of cleanliness. We later found out that all the guest checking in were given the same upgrade. To be clear the hotel was not obligated to make these changes.
On 3/19 we went early to the beach, the hotel supplied lounge chairs, towels and an umbrella. Unfortunately, the state of Florida decided to close the beach at noon that day. Now this is not a party beach, during our stay it was families and couples. (Noting that we were there during spring break I would expect that this quiet family friendly atmosphere is the norm.)
We retreated to the pool area that day and the next. The space and furnishings around the pool were very clean and comfortable, the water clear & warm and new towels supplied when requested. The bartender at the pool was the staff member we had the most interaction with during our stay. He was cheerful and friendly; I only regret not getting his name for this review. He did so much more then server drinks at the bar. He would bring you your drinks, new towels and food from the hotel restaurant again only open for takeout. The food we order from the hotel restaurant was excellent and would have enjoyed eating in the dining room if it was possible. However, coming from New Jersey, it was wonderful as winter is ending to have the warmth of the sun along with good food and drinks outside.
We were to check out from the Sole Miami on 3/23 but because of the Covid-19 wanted to leave early and planned with our airline to do so checking out 3/21. The hotel was completely cooperative in letting us check out early, and without hesitation work with the company we used to book our reservation to refund the remaining days.
So, would I recommend the Sole Miami, and would I stay again? The only answer to both questions is Yes. My wife and I will take the opportunity to return the Sole Miami as soon as possible once the issues with this virus passes.
To all reading this stay well and know that this virus like all things will pass.

Our trip started out as a bummer. I can only recommend paying more for the suites for an acceptable stay! We booked a “premium” ocean view room. It had hair in the shower drain, the room only had shampoo and hand soap (no conditioner or lotion) and had stains on the bed upholstery and carpet. The carpet appeared to be very old and made my OCD freak out. I managed to just not complain about the room because it was my choice. However when I kindly asked the front desk about getting a micro wave for our room there was no way to get one. Because this was a necessity for my babies to have warm milk three times a day she graciously upgraded us free to a suite. If it had not been for Dina at the front desk our trip would have been dreadful because the restaurant doesn’t open until 10 and closes before the babies night time milk. After the upgrade our trip turned to the bright side and we were able to enjoy Miami shores to the fullest with no downsides except that the resort fee you pay for only includes the towels and chairs until 4:30 pm. After that I recommend you have some dry towels to hold onto if you want to enjoy the pool or beach past that time. I highly recommend the hotel management to also make it easier for their workers by giving the guests a place to leave towels as they leave the pool area in addition to the beach or require room numbers because people just leave towels laying around everywhere including the beach making lost towels an increasing problem and cost to the hotel. overall we enjoyed our trip because it was easy to walk to several playgrounds, restaurant on the pier, and grocery and Walgreens are near by making this location ideal for families.

In Summary: Dina at front desk was the sweetest. The others were overall nice except for one grouchy lady I will leave unnamed.

Premium ocean view downsides: tiny fridge & old carpet/upholstery & no microwave.

Premium suites: great! Large full size fridge, large bathroom, separate living room with pull out couch.

Make sure to get dry towels before they close or run out at 4pm. We were left cold two afternoons in a row because my babies napped until 4 and when we went down to the pool all the towels ran out.

This hotel is by far the best in Sunny Isles. The staff here are great at their job and are always attentive to any needs, especially Joel and Fiorella. Due to Covid I was very hesitant to stay at any hotel but by far the rooms are very clean and many procedures are taken in order to ensure the safety of people. The cleanliness standards are ideal throughout the hotel. The view here is stunning with a beautiful beach being the first thing you see when you wake up. The food here is also incredible, I highly recommend the Mahi tacos! They have a very characteristic scent, that smells good in the space but is not overwhelming. The hotel is luxurious, but not ostentatious.

Worst hotel stay of my life.Bathtub was dirty on arrival. The people in the next room may as well have stayed with me because every sound was heard loudly&clearly, all the way in the bedroom of my suite with the door closed. I was in town for a festival with events that ended around 3:30am but was unable to sleep past 6:30am because it sounded like the children in the next room were right there with me. Every time I called guest services or housekeeping from the room phone no one picked up. I couldn’t get anyone to bring bottled water...water! It’s the USA and I couldn’t get water to drink?I managed to get ice only because I found someone from housekeeping in the hallway. The lighting in the bedroom is awful, my bedspread was stained and the glass balcony door in the bedroom was filthy. When my room was serviced by housekeeping, the towels were not restocked!...nor were the coffee creamers.I asked for coffee creamers and they never came. I can go on but I think my point has been conveyed. It was an awful, exhausting stay.

Stayed mid-Feb 2020. We got the 1901A Ocean front suite, the view was stunning and clearly the best we ever had in Florida. The huge suite was really clean on arrival. The full kitchen is perfect, there is a nice eating area with a table and 4 chairs and the balcony allowed us to enjoy the nice weather (2 plastics chairs available). The bed was comfy without being too soft. Nice bathroom, but it was a challenge not to let the shower (no door) leak all over the floor.

The location is AMAZING; on foot, there is absolutely everything. A very nice grocery (Milam's Market), Walgreen, CVS, Starbucks, liquor store, small restaurants and so much more. It was perfect to avoid taking the car all the time and enjoy the sunshine.

It's important to know that on those types of resorts you almost always have a daily fee for "resort services" like beach chairs and towels. It was around 30USD/day when we were there. For the beach chairs on sunny days, you need to go VERY early if you want a nice spot and passed 10 am it seemed to be almost full. Not sure if people got refused passed that.

The soundproofing is good, but you will ear the patio doors closing since you need to swing them for them to close completely (they are massive and heavy).

We got some issue with the room, the bathroom ceiling leaked on the second day because of an issue in the room on top of us. But the management reacted promptly and everything was quickly resolved. Both managers present during our stay where very supportive, polite and helpful.

My wife and I have been going to Miami, FL for years now, typically when the winter weather hits our home town of Chicago. We usually go for 9 days and stay closer to S. Beach, at Large Resort Hotel types that offer a lot of "Bells & Whistles" and also a lot of "noise" and typically large expenses. This time around, we Choose Sole Miami and are happy we did! The Location pf the hotel and clean beach is perfect, the pool is small but hey you don't come to Miami for pool life. Bring your sunblock because the sun can be brutal! An honest review:
The Staff - Juan Carlos (Manager) , Lily (booking), Dina and Aizhan were super good and attentive to all of our various needs. Fiorella, Fernando, Victor, Jose from the Restaurant waiter Staff / Bar /Beach Service along with the 2-3 Beach boys Joel (I cant recall the others names) but they were all outstanding, really high caliber service every single day. Most of the staff remembered our names, our drink preferences and the beach guys could recall where we wanted our morning spot to be on the beach, they were attentive , and top of their game etc... I was also impressed with the quality of the restaurant food and the drinks. Only issue where they can improve on is getting one more person in a few departments, particularly the restaurant so that wait times are cut down, it was super clear that everyone was working very hard, the few days the hotel was just slammed the Upper Management should do a better job bring on perhaps 1 more chef and 1 more bar/ food server so that wait times are cut down . This includes wait time for room service things like extra pillows, tp, etc. etc.

We stayed in the 1 Bedroom with full kitchen and it was perfect for us, the views were spectacular offering both city and beach. There is a Publix Market less than 1 mile North so you can save a ton of money by cooking breakfast / lunch in the room with the pots/ pans, silverware, dishwasher and of course full stove w/ microwave and fridge the room provides. To change it up walk down to Juice& Java restaurant (3 min walk) , the place is legit and has a huge bfast and lunch/diner menu.

My only thing I can gripe about it they need to greatly improve their Wifi strength signal and WiFi Speed. Thank you Sole we'll see you again soon.

We recently got married at the Sole Miami. With Covid making a magical evening seem impossible, the staff of the Sole outdid our highest expectations.

With the help of Beatriz, Sen. Sales Manager, we were able to pull everything together within a week and a half. She was prepared to help us with all the extras (florist, cake, DJ, etc.) making the often-difficult task a breeze! The hotel offered a complete package, that allowed us a ceremony on a private sand dune overlooking the ocean, followed by a private cocktail reception by their pool and dinner with dancing in their restaurant.

The food provided by Exec. Chef Nick had all of our guests begging for recipes! The F&B Manager Zakia, along with her team, Victor, Audrey and Fernando were absolutely exquisite. They were so conscious of the safety precautions needed to keep our small event safe during Covid. Never were glasses left unattended by guests without a new one being made which prevented accidental sharing and kept everyone knowing they were being well taken care of - they were graceful and quick with their services.

The décor of the hotel and restaurant was beautiful, as was the evening. We have since maintained friendships with all those from Sole who were involved in our big night. We highly recommend this location if you are looking for a chic, smooth and friendly environment for your event.

We look forward to returning to the Sole Miami, as the rooms and amenities provided made this location a destination in itself!
Thank you again to everyone at the Sole Miami!

This was our second stay at Sole. We spent a month here and it is amazing. The room has always been beautiful not to mention the amazing ocean view. The entire staff (desk, pool and beach staff, restaurant, valet, housekeeping) is first class. Catalina went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed to use the steam room when I wasn’t feeling well and made sure I was comfortable (and she doesn’t work in that area!). We will be back!

Since when do hotels charge to clean your room? No, this was not a resort fee. They wanted to charge an extra $600, $100 per night, if we wanted to have our room cleaned during our stay. We were forced to decline any room cleaning to avoid any additional charges - truly appalling!!
