Location is good. Bed s and pillows are great but…breakfast is poor quality ( we stayed 6 days and 3 of them fruit was scarse), coffee undrinkable, no ham, cheese, oats. Not even fresh water. Plastic cutlery. Paper cups.
We were three in a room for 4 but only 2 bottles of water were provided a day. 2 drinks in the bar, 2 towels and 2 chairs at the beach sun umbrella was not included in the deal so you needed to pay 24 usd a day. ( you need to walk 4/5 blocks to get to the seaside). We were charged 50 us extra with no explanation. Parking price starts in 37 usd plus taxes for a sedan and 45 for a bigger one. 5 usd is charged per package received before you get to the hotel. Room service was always done after 4 pm.

The staff were all extremely friendly. Especially the bartender, Marco, and the morning breakfast staff. Our room was cleaned everyday even though we didn’t expect it so that was nice. The location to the beach was awesome and being able to utilize the Double Tree’s beach access was such a great feature. I gave the property a 7 because I did expect the room to be larger in accordance with other Residence Inn properties I’ve stayed at. There was no couch or even a lounge chair to sit on. There were two desk chairs that I suppose could be used to sit and eat in the room if you were to cook your own meals, but really not enough space if you had four people in the room as allowed. There was also some small clearish/white type bugs in the kitchenette area. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. The pool was always nice and warm and the location was within walking distance to lots of restaurants and small shops.

Upon arrival, I was under impressed with the outside. It feels like you’re entering through a side entrance. Valet guys were very nice and held the doors opens for me and my children. Inside, the lobby is small but clean and staff was very nice.
My room wasn’t ready so I was offered an upgraded room with a balcony. The staff was very nice and informative of amenities.
The room is modern and a good size. I would have liked it to be a little cleaner. It took very little effort to make a baby wipe grey when I wiped a spill off the floor. There were tags on the floor which tells me it wasn’t cleaned well and some hair in the room, which I know can be easy to miss.
The kitchen is well equipped if you need to cook with pots,pan, dishes, and glasses.
I don’t like the big pump bottles of shampoo and body wash that were used by x amount of people before my stay, I would prefer an untouched tiny bottle I can throw away when it’s empty.
Nights are miserable. I can hear people moving furniture upstairs, loud conversations in the hallways, doors slamming. The beds are so soft that my son was rolling into me the whole night.
I didn’t want daily service because I’m just iffy about having people in the room, but I did ask for towels and to change sheets on one of the beds because my son spilled juice and the staff took care of it right away.
The pool is beautiful, but the chairs around the pool are all torn and there were no towels. When I spoke to front desk, they apologized and said they would address the issue to make sure there were towels there throughout the day.
Breakfast was good, some options for everyone and it was very clean.

The sound from people, and especially housekeeping/maintenace, letting the doors slam shut is very loud. Even at night (9pm), the housekeeping staff were letting the doors slam against the security bar, over and over again. The walls are thin, and they shake when someone lets the door slam shut.
There are three floors with washer/dryers. The dryer was broken on one of the floors. Two of the floors have laundry detergent vending machines, but after trying both (but checking all three floors) I discovered that none of them worked! They sell laundry detergent in the lobby for a whopping $3 (but $1 from the non-functioning vending machines), and when I asked about the vending machines, I was told that they no longer stock those! What?! They should take them out of the laundry room, or put a note stating that detergent is for sale in the lobby!
Very unimpressed with this hotel!

We got to the hotel at 1:30pm, and when we got there they let us know that 1 of our rooms was ready, but the 2nd one was being cleaned and wouldn't be ready until 4pm (when check-in starts). After that, we went back to the front desk to check on the room's status at 4pm check-in time and then again at 8pm and both times they said the room was "still being cleaned". To try and make up for it, they said we would get our first night of valet parking for free, but we were still charged for parking that night AND we didn't get our second room that we paid for until after 10pm!!
Then, the second night we stayed there, the AC stopped working completely in our room and started to blow out hot air all night which made the room 86 degrees!! We notified the front desk and they came up and said we didn't work the thermostat correctly. When it still continued blowing out hot air, they informed us a few hours later that an engineer wasn't going to come and fix it until 7am the next morning, so we were in the heat the full night with no apologies. I am shocked that a hotel as big as Marriott doesn't have someone who is always on call, especially if the AC stops working in a Miami hotel during hot weather.
The only saving grace for this hotel was that the two bartenders at their restaurant were absolutely wonderful and tried to make our experience at the hotel better after hearing about our problems we had with getting our second room in our reservation.

The young lady not only brought up a cart but had two cookies and bottles of water placed in the new room. Ritz-Carlton level of service!

We travel frequently to Marriott properties (Titanium reward level) and this hotel not only didn’t disappoint - it exceeded our expectations! If you are traveling to SunnyIsles Florida you’d be crazy not to consider staying here.
The staff is warm and inviting, helpful and courteous from the front desk to the pool restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone was so nice and ready to help with anything we needed.
The room we had was large and spacious with a great efficiency kitchen and breathtaking views of the ocean between the high rises on the beach directly across the street. The bed was so comfortable. The room (and hotel) was so well maintained it looked as if it was completely renovated last week!
The pool area is on the 9th floor with views of the Ocean. Plenty of chairs both in direct sun and under cabana like sun shades. The restaurant serves pool type food. We had chicken wings and flat bread while we lounged and relaxed. Both were really good. We didn’t partake in alcohol but the bar menu of cattails, beer and wine was very extensive. They also offer various smoothies!
They offer golf cart service to a nice beach down the street along with chair service. Can’t beat that unless you pay 4x the price for a hotel on the beach but based on our experience we don’t know why anyone would. Gym on the first floor is a decent size, had good equipment and was never crowded.
The location is amazing. You can walk to so many restaurants, a great park with live music was a block away. Even a 24-hour Walgreens one block over for everything you forgot to bring (think snacks, treats for your pup ….)

The 6th floor room with two queens and a balcony was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Facility was clean.

We have stayed twice at this hotel and enjoyed our stays both times, but particularly with are most recent stay. The hotel is quite and clean. Located across the street from the beach, many rooms and the pool area provide beautiful views to the Atlantic. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The kitchenette is convenient if you have an extended stay or require a special diet. There are several very nice restaurants in walking distance if you wish to dine out. The bathroom and walk in shower are very nice and spacious as well. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and fresh. If anything it is worth grabbing something light in the morning for a view of the sunrise at the beach. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

We reserved a room for 30 days. We checked with the front desk 4 times including the day we were checking in and they told us that the room which we requested was on hold for us. We spoke w Cole, Nick and another woman at the front desk that all confirmed that are room was waiting for us! We drove for 10 hrs. Only to be told the room was booked and would not be available for a few days. There was only a nite front desk man who said there was nothing he could do. There was not a manager on site and no one to speak with. As we walked in there was a panel of glass in the lobby that was shattered and we were told it had been that way for a month. The carpet & chairs at reception area were filthy. We stayed here once before, 2 years ago. We learned that it has since had 4 managers either quit or get fired and only a few housekeeping staff( only 1 at night.). Also, their lobby bathroom was dirty. We are currently in a tiny room facing the street w no balcony. Other balconies either face McDonalds or a parking lot on the other side. The room we were suppose to be booked in had a deck that was good for our service dog, this one has barely enough room for his bed. We are so disappointed. Not a way to start a vacation. The people who walked in after us had a similiar problem that the rooms they reserved were not available as well. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Not worth the aggravation!!
