I have stayed here once a few years ago and am back again. This time everyone is much more hospitable and friendly! Stephanie at the front desk is absolutely amazing. She was so helpful and put a smile on my face under my mask lol. Lateisha was nice and I appreciated the email prior to my stay with the updated hours and Covid situations for breakfast, pool, etc. This hotel has really put forth an effort to make Covid as little of an inconvenience as possible. The pool still has long hours, the breakfast is still served (with modifications), and the restaurant just opened back up. The beach service is terrific and it’s only a five minute walk from the hotel. Juan was extremely helpful at the beach. The bartender/cook/pool attendants were nice and knowledgeable as well. Housekeeping can still be requested when needed as long as you notify them a day prior to service. The room is very clean upon check-in. They’ve really managed this property so well and I think other hotels could take notes on how to start offering their services again from the Covid-19 regulations. Here, Covid is not an excuse to offer less service-they make the necessary adjustments with some extra policies but they aren’t excessive. Such a wonderful vacation! Thank you Residence Inn Sunny Isles Beach, with a huge shoutout to Stephanie at the desk once again for being so awesome!

Our last couple of hotel experiences have been pretty underwhelming, over promised, over charged and under delivered. So it was with baited breath that after reading tons of reviews, we decided to book a stay atThe Residence Inn Sunny Isles Beach. On arrival we were checked in by Keith, who was professional, amiable and informative. The hotel is beautifully clean, the rooms are a good size and well stocked with among other things a mini dish washer, full sized fridge etc. The shower in the bathroom is a nice size and the view from our room is beautiful. We are on day one of our stay, but judging by the quality of service that we have already received, we happily recommend this hotel.

Please pick another place on Sunny island. This is a nice motel but not a hotel. Rooms don’t get cleaned daily. I will attach pictures below. No daily refills of anything not even hand soap. Front desk has no clue what they ate doing. O experience. They blame everything on Covid 🤣. Breakfast you can skip . Nothing to even get excited about besides powder eggs , dry sausage and cheap yogurt. Wrinkled sheets . Old towels. Dirty balcony.

Excellent location and building facilities. Nevertheless, I feel disappointed for the beach service where they wanted to charge me umbrella ($25!!). I don't get the point if you guys charged a beach service fee... In addition, you should improve the quality of sanitizer dispensers as they rarely work. Finally, I urge you to pay attention to the service quality of the housekeeper team since they are far away of being kind and charming.

I’m a huge fan of the Sunny Isles area. It’s got all the best of Miami (beaches, hotels, shopping) but without all the fanfare. The Residence Inn is relatively new to Sunny Isles. The rooms are well appointed if you’re planning an extended stay and want the comforts of your own apartment — ie full kitchen, laundry facilities on site, etc. As a Bonvoy elite member, i was upgraded to a balcony room — which appear to be the highest ‘category’ room. The balcony rooms are on the lower floors - 2-8 (i think) and all of them have 2 queen beds (ie you cant have a king with a balcony). These rooms all face either north or south. On the one hand (as others have complained) if you face south, you’re facing the roof of the neighbouring plaza (which is somewhat noisy due to the AC units mounted on the top of the building) and you’re also facing a building that is in the process of being built. However, I specifically requested a south facing room because you get direct sunlight on your balcony for most the day - during my December stay, that meant sun on my balcony from around 9:30am to 5pm. If you face north, you’ll be facing the neighbouring mcdonalds and it may be a bit quieter - but you won’t get any sun because the sun will be blocked by the building itself. During Covid, the hotel has a few safety measures in place that disrupt normal service. Room cleaning only occurred once during my 1 week stay but you can ask for anything you need in between cleanings (towels, coffee, sugar, etc) and they’re more than accommodating. In fact, when I arrived, it looked like my balcony had not been cleaned in a while (the floor had pigeon stains on it). I asked housekeeping to just sweep it up. About 15 min later, a guy showed up with a bucket, mop, broom, and rags. He literally wiped down and mopped the concrete floor and the patio table and chairs. He also washed the glass balcony windows. It was awesome to have the balcony sparkling for my full stay. I was working remotely during my stay so I was able to literally sit on the balcony all day with my laptop and work. Another Covid change is that breakfast is a “take away bag” versus a full buffet. They have prepacked bagged breakfasts at the front desk area — as well as fresh coffee — but you are expected to take the bag and either go back to your room or leave the area. They provide 2 waters per day but you have to pick those up at the front desk. In addition, you must wear a mask throughout the common areas of the hotel. The pool area is on the 9th floor. There’s an Infinity pool and lounge chairs up there too. There is a fitness center on the main floor - I found it less than adequate for my gym routine but I was able to join a local gym that is only 3 blocks away — called Fitness Time. In the main lobby there’s also a computer and printer — which I was able to use to print out a few documents I needed to for work. The rooms themselves are decorated in a very plain but modern style. You can see that the rooms are not aging well, however, I had to fix the bathroom door b/c it is a barn door that wasn’t sliding on its track properly. The drawers on the dresser were also not aligning properly so sometimes wouldn’t close. Not a big deal but I’m not sure how this hotel will fare in terms of aging. Overall, I think this hotel is a great option if you plan to cook or eat in a bit during your stay. You get a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and utensils. This is not your choice of a hotel if you’re looking for a resort type experience.
