Great hotel. Me and my wife stayed here and enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very close to plenty of restaurants and within walking distance of some cool stores. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you driving from Tennessee or Georgia and wish to rest and have peace of mind then this place in the top of the mountain is for you . Clear air to breathe at 1900 ft over sea level Quiet place mountain style ( you not seeing any person outside after 9:00pm) Nice restaurant walking distance Not a luxury place...

We took a ride over to Sewanee to watch a basketball game. We stopped at the Smoke House Restaurant for lunch. We had eaten there several years ago and enjoyed it. Boy, was I disappointed this time. The food was not good. The selections on the buffet were limited. I do not think we will go back there again.

We stayed overnight with our dog as it was time to stop for the day. We found it easy and close to the interstate & they allowed dogs. The "General Store" was full of interesting items that you could easily spend a few hours to wander thru much better than a typical motel.. We didn't care for the food we...

Rooms were clean and well kept. The restaurant connected to the Lodge was HORRIBLE! Food not good, service not friendly, and it was not clean! There was even a cat inside roaming! We will NEVER eat there again nor will we recommend this place to anyone.

I've wanted to stay here for some time, since we see it when we pass through while traveling through the area while sight seeing. I'll start with the plusses. The place has a mom and pop look/feel to it. We love family owned and operated, old hotels with a little charm. This feels like both. There is a country store...

Easy access from the Interstate in beautiful mountainous setting. I love the neon sign (although several letters are burnt-out leaving gaps like missing teeth in a glowing grin.) The adjacent General Store is fun. The front desk was maybe having an off-night during the holidays. My room key had to be reprogrammed twice, until I asked for another room. I...

Thanks so much for your review, and for your business. Our neon sign is having some old transformer and wiring issues, we hope to get fixed soon. We apologize for the missed the wake up call, plumbing noises, and door keys. Those door locks sometimes present a problem in cold weather, they do not perform well in an outdoor environment...

Paid the extra money for accessible room. Non smoking pet friendly worked out well for us to have room to move and a sofa to put feet up. Plenty of heat for a chilly night. Would stay again but like a cabin. Family friendly.

This is our second time staying here and we have enjoyed it both times. Always friendly staff when checking in and out, very clean. This time we had just a couple of minor issues, but neither were any that would effect our stay and we let the staff know. You also receive a 10% discount at Jim Oliver's, the restaurant...
