We have been staying at D'Altons for years now. The cabins are basic and have everything you need. I look forward to having my coffee on the balcony each morning and enjoy watching the kangaroos and birds. Our kids have made friends with other regulars and look forward to it as much as we do. They love the pool, although...

Our cottage was pleasant, but a bit of renovation would not hurt. But hey, we enjoyed the whirlpool in our large room. We also enjoyed tremendously sitting on our veranda and watching all the kangaroos and birds come by. Very convenient to buy your breakfast in the supermarket in town (a 10 minute walk at the most), prepare that in...

This was one of the great finds of our Oz tour. We were given a great welcome and there was a lot of chat with the host. The cabins are roomy and extremely well equipped for long stays, although we were only overnighting. The setting amongst the trees was great and the thrill of having our breakfast on our deck...

We are staying here at the moment with a family of 6 and two other families. Last night we cooked a BBQ beside the pool then went on to set up a board game in the recreation room that gave the kids plenty of room to play and had a fridge and bar in it for the adults. The beds...

D'Altons is the perfect place to experience the Grampians. Some facilities might not always be the most modern (our kitchen fires did not work very well for instance), but everything was well maintained and it gives you the feeling you're staying right in the nature (and isn't that why you go to the Grampians?). In the evening kangaroos come graze...

Quaint, very "olde" Australian style, a sense of the past with the ammenities of the present. We had a wonderful and restful weekend. Great hosts checking on our well being while presenting a unique vista of Australiana for their guests. Awake to kookaburras, cockatoos, and kangaroos in this spacious setting. We noticed a great family gathering in the purpose built shack...

It was the first time in three years our whole family were together and decided to spend it at D'Altons Resort. We couldn't have picked a better spot! The rooms were very clean, the kitchen and bathrooms had all amenties provided and there was even an ample supply of firewood left by the front door. The children in our group...

If you seek a place where you can have the feel of actually living at the foot of the Grampians, we highly recommend Dalton's Resort. Each resident has an individual cabin with a full kitchen, nice large kitchen, and a very big living space/bedroom. Ours came with a massive jacuzi spa instead of a bathtub. The greatest gift is the...

Told me it was my daughter's fault she fell through the end of the bed(On the top bunk) as they said "she was playing around". What did happen was she moved down the end of the bed to play with the iPad and due to to the slats not being screwed down, they must have moved them when they made...

We recently stayed in D'Altons, in the June long weekend. What a spectacular place. The Grampians backdrop is amazing, and the cabins are gorgeous. The setout is great, with cabins spread out, so unlike a caravan park, you would hardly even know you had neighbours. The kangaroos bounding by, eating just behind our cabin, provided an experience the kids had...
