Great location close to town with kangaroos and cockatoos just outside the room. Very friendly and helpful owners. Clean and comfortable spacious room. They also let us use their laundry facilities for a small charge which was really helpful! Shower was a little temperamental trying to get the right temperature and the aircon wasn't in a great position so took...

Day SIX of my trip from Perth to Melbourne and after an 8 hour drive from Kadina pulled into the Kookaburra Motor Lodge. It was the cheapest of all my stays but I liked it. Very clean and functional with a patio overlooking a field with the Grampians in the distance and….well unfortunately I had coincided with the day before...

Stayed over a weekend in August 2016. Room was comfortable enough with the heater on, but the bathroom was incredibly cold in the night during winter. The most attractive feature of this place is the landscape and wildlife literally at our doorstep. It was particularly fun in the morning when various species of birds pay a visit at the patio,...

An honest motel, well run, all the amenities you would expect, clean and quiet. About fifty metres from Halls Gap centre. Owners advised Where we should go to find what we were looking for (Waterfalls and Walks). Kangaroos in back paddock behind motel and Kangaroos in front early morning. Wi-Fi as you would expect

Great rooms and outdoor BBQ facilities which came in very handy as all the restaurants were booked out. Rooms look out to mountains and over fields and a small lake which are home to many kangeroos, corellas and other wildlife. A magical place.

The hosts were super informative and friendly. We saw lots of Australian wildlife on the grounds. All within walking distance of restaurants and a grocery store. Very nice homey atmosphere. Well kept grounds.

Great location surrounded by fields where the kangaroos ran free. Many birds around seating in your terrace. Hall Gap is a unique place that reminds in some aspects Nara in Japan. Nearby the motel, walking distance, there is a very good restaurant called Kookaburra. One of two miles away there is an Indian restaurant, on main road, that should not...

Heater is fantastic - heats quickly - nice cozy warm room. This is a great location - easy walk to shops, pub, restaurant, with a fantastic view from the room. I was provided with fresh milk! Not UHT Good recommendation for dinner at the Kookaburra pub - meal was delicious. Although I only stayed one night, if you had 2...

We first stayed at the Kookaburra Motor Lodge in 2014 and it was the only place we wanted to stay when we returned to Halls Gap this year. It is not the most luxurious hotel that we have stayed in at Halls Gap but it easily our favourite. Location is great and the hotel grounds are teeming with wildlife. Our...

We stayed here a few years ago in summer and liked it so we decided to stay again. The facilities are good value and the location is great. However, the staff was rude this time through. When we were checking in we got attitude and when we needed help with our room's heater, being told "you shouldn't have moved the...
