If you are looking for a nice and tidy place and good job opportunities as well, Cambrai Hostel in Maffra is definitely a good deal. Ron and Marg are the owners of this working hostel and help as much as they can. As we've been there it took 7 up to 10 days to get a job, some travellers just...

I came to Maffra in hope to find some regional work for my second year visa. I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived on my own and Ron and Marg were very welcoming. The location of the hostel couldn't have been better with a Woolworths a few doors down as well as an...

Cambrai Hostel was our home for three months whilst we completed our regional work and we didn't want to leave by the end of it. Ron and Marg were lovely! - friendly and helpful and treated us like family. They organized legit work for us and ensured the hostel was cosy and inviting with the fire burning on cold nights....

Ron & Marg were very helpful. Cheap bar and right next to woolworths :) They offered me a farm job as soon as I called up, and I stayed there for my whole 3 months. Don't go fruit picking on some dreadful Mildura farm, go here!

Such a lovely place to call home for three months while I did my farm work. Ron and Marg did a great job of setting us up with proper farm work. They kept the hostel clean, cozy and friendly. They regularly had nights to get everyone together having a good time. We had great drink discounts at the bar and...

I had a great time here at the Cambrai hostel. The farm work was hard but the homely atmosphere and the people I met here were amazing! The hostel was very welcoming and the open fire made it feel very cozy, especially with the bar inside. I would recommend to anyone!

I stayed at the Cambrai Hostel in early 2013. After initially heading out to the hostel with no guarantee of work Ron and Marg found us various roles in the local area before we eventually found permanent regional work in the area. Hostel itself is very welcoming with bar, pool table and front beer garden. Hostel itself is also a...
