This was our second visit to the hotel since December. We stayed for 2 nights. and were told that it included breakfast however were not told it would be continental. There were no shower caps, the fan in the bathroom was very dirty and obviously had not been cleaned in ages. On our first morning, a breakfast basket was delivered...

Good selection of breakfast/ lunch items and very good service. Not overly busy in the am but restaurant filled up quickly with early lunchers. The black and white decor is cool and elegant. All round pleasant experience, and a great place to catch-up with friends for casual, well prepared food and friendly staff.

We booked Dinner for six adults and a pram for the final night of our family holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food, drinks and service. We shared garlic and herb bread and calamari for Entree, which were amazing, followed by six perfectly cooked mains that impressed even the harshest of critics in our clan. I would highly...

For those people who were lucky enough to experience dining at the Royal prior to summer 2016, it was always a fine dining experience in a relaxed old world setting with excellent table service and menu(especially the Lamb Curry and the desserts ). Sadly it has lost its 'vibe'. With a dramatic change in staff it has reverted back to...

My hubby and I live in mornington and thought we'd call in for a quick drink on a nice night.. we got two peroni's it cost $29.00!!! Wtf?!? So over priced.. you've just lost our local business.. thank god we didn't order food.. couldn't afford it! Lol.. no wonder the place was empty and a perfect summers night.

Hi kylie, Thank you for your feed back. Peroni kegs themselves are very expensive and also venues around the area have very similar prices. hopefully you do come back and can enjoy the food :) Thanks Katie.

Paid big bucks for overnight accommodation. Expected to get what we paid for but it fell well short of expectations. No instructions for electrical appliances, no shower cap provided despite the fact that the shower is one of those "rain showers", door seal to outside balcony was hanging off the door and wind was howling in from the bay, coffee...

We went to the Bistro part of the hotel for lunch. Great service, lovely pub meals. Meals come out quickly and they are delicious. Not much of a view although the location is opposite the beach but still worth it.

Traditional pub overlooking the bay. Nice beer garden fronting The Esplanade. Good pub meals. Lovely old building with plenty of history in the Mornington area. A must visit for visitors to the area...

Not often that I give such a poor review. I must say it was not in respect to the quality of the food or the service but the attitude of the owner. Oysters Kilpatrick was advertised. If you Google that you will see the definition of Oysters Kilpatrick is "Oysters kilpatrick, is a classic English recipe involving oysters, cheese, Worcestershire...

A truly well renovated old building. A wide choice of menu was available for lunch with a great wine list, together with fast service. Great location with views over Port Philip Bay with ample car parking. Very much an Old World atmosphere.
