We live in Blairgowrie and decided to use our Entertainment Book Voucher at the Portsea Pub. I ordered the "Portsea Beef Burger". I am really fussy but this Burger was one of the best I have eaten in years. Cooked perfectly med/rare. The sauce was so yummy. One of the great things about the Burger was that it was the... More

Great nostalgic pub but food is average. If your just after a beer or a fun night out then head here. But if your after a counter meal then dont bother. Stick to the beer and drinks only with the great views overlooking the bay. I would sack the chef given the prices you pay i expected better

What a shock. Dropped in for a cold beer last Sunday, a beautiful sunny afternoon. Managed to find a table outside under verandah but don't know why we bothered. All the tables had leftover food and dirty plates and glasses on them, had to step over all the empty ice buckets and glasses on the open grassed area and after... More

I live on the mornington peninsula and I remember the days when people use to travel to the port sea pub for lunch it was the place to be seen. It is say a couple of years since we dined at the port sea pub but we did and it was not pleasant, unfortunately after, golf on Sunday 18 of us... More

Even on a shocking stormy day like it was for us this hotel is a beautiful classic you must visit when in the area. In better weather the seating and views are just awesome! Great service and brilliant food. Menu has something for everyone with options giving more than you expect from a pub meal. Order and pay at the... More

Had a perfect weekend for dad's 80th. We were accommodated, wined, dined and very well looked after by the staff at this great old pub. Nothing was too much bother and they were extremely patient and kind to my elderly parents. I've holidayed at Portsea for most of my life, and spent many fun times in the beer garden; but... More

One of the worst experiences of poor client service. The tables were sticky, my steak was raw , and the waitress asked us to keep our noise down when we were not making any noise at all. We left after that as it was completely rude and inappropriate and we had planned to stay most of the night. Drinks were... More

We were visiting the Portsea hotel for a wedding, we arrived at lunch time dropped off our bags and went to the restaurant area for lunch. Good variety on the menu, good selection of beer on tap and wines. I stayed in a twin room with one of my friends, the room was simple with wardrobe in room, for one... More
