The Portsea Hotel is a great place to stay, eat and play. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food we had was faultless and the views were so mesmerizing & relaxing. Very lovely trip away for the weekend. Just a quick tip....always try to book through the Hotel itself as they will let you know if...

I have grown up on the Mornington peninsula and have always considered the Portsea pub to be iconic and the best pub in the area. Those days have long. What happened to training staff and the first think that should be taught above all, is hygiene and how to maintain a clean bar at all times. After ordering drinks at...

We had been to this place for lunch quite a few times over the years. We always like the ambient atmosphere looking out to the the bay on a sunny warm afternoon. We had calamari rings and pork belly. Both were quite nice. The staff were helpful. The main restaurant had a wedding function and some of the main lawn...

The Portsea pub is always going to have one of the best views to dine at and that is about where it ends. Having not visited for a few years and with new owners, we were looking forward to a lovely lunch with a group of friends. Food is overpriced and really very average- 4 out of 9 meals were...

Portsea pub used to be a the place to go. On a perfect Friday evening it was less than half full and empty by 9.15 except for our large group. Looks like it needs a good scrub, and it's understaffed so the wait for a drink was long. But here's the clanger. Unbelievably we had to pay for another meal because...

Great family meal in a really vibrant place with beautiful views over water. All types of food, great choice of beer, very family friendly and casual dress code. Would definitely go back for more! Next to a pier with local fisherman and lovely yachts to gawk at!

We visited here for dinner, and were extremely disappointed with both the quality and the cost of the food. We had been travelling/ exploring the area for some days and had eaten at a number of different places. This hotel had been recommended to us and so we thought to try it. The food was over priced and very average....

We went here for lunch with friends and had an ocean view table which was lovely. The service was fast and staff were very friendly however my $40 T Bone steak looked like it had been boiled then thrown on the grill for a couple of seconds and it had no flavour at all. The accompanying potatoes were tasteless also....

We visited the Portsea Hotel a few times over the Summer holidays and found it to be grotty. Dirty plates and glasses not collected from tables and staff not very interested in collecting and cleaning tables. We have visited the Portsea Pub for many years and were disappointed this year!
