This place has come along leaps and bounds recently and is a really nice place to have a beer and chew the fat. The new bar is very nicely appointed and the staff on the few times I was there are very nice, which I for one, think is important. Nothing worse when going to a bar and made feel...

Quaint Hotel on main street of Queenscliff. Great location for the Bluestrain and of the rare places where could get a three bed bedroom. No en suite (which was clearly stated ) with shared shower/toilet facilitities. Might have been nice however to inform us that no shamppo/condiitioner supplied. Everything a bit tired and run down. Great menu but closes at...

Arrived late on a Friday evening to find our key cunningly tucked away on the front steps. We let ourselves in to what appeared to be an entirely deserted, largely original hallway. I loved this place: heaps of character, I really felt like I was stepping in to history. The bathrooms are pretty average but I was in Queenscliff to...

We were the only guests on the night we stayed which was fine till everyone else (some people having a meal and a drink) disappeared off home. That was when I started to feel a bit horror filmy! The giant bunch of Lily's on the hallway table had an overwhelming smell which added to the dreamy feeling, along with the...

This hotel has been sold, despite this our booking was accepted and we arrived to a key hidden outside under a cushion but no staff, no service, no TV or wifi, but luckily a sparse breakfast supplied by a casual worker hooked in for the two days. There was no personnel around on our departure and the owners now are...

This place should not be charging $215.00 a night, you could do better at the backpackers. No staff no restaurant no bar, deserted run down dump, don't even consider it. amazing what they can do with a camera.

Reading the reviews and you'll get a good sense of both the good and the bad that The Queenscliff Hotel offers. We came for a quiet family overnight stay and had a pleasant experience. Yes, there's no TV or Wifi, the bar was closed, the beds were small and you couldn't walk anywhere without a giant creaking noise emanating from...

We looked on the website and saw a magnificent old hotel with a gorgeous dining room,a bar and café, a deluxe bedroom of grand proportions with antique furniture and beautiful curtains. We booked a deluxe room and got - no dining, bar or café (they closed before Christmas well before we booked), a bedroom a quarter the size of the...

The building just ooses history. Yes the rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, upgrade to deluxe if you can. Yes, no tv's - what plus. Great comfortable sitting rooms with a wide array of reading material - choice of 3 each with their own character and ambiance. Courteous and attentive staff. Great central location. Restaurant currently closed, but staff...

Having stayed at this spectacular boutique period hotel a couple of times over the last 20 years, it is difficult to describe the disappointment. Although warned that the bar or restaurant had closed indefinitely, we were not prepared for the bleak atmosphere of a museum. I suppose the recent death of the energetic manager explains it all. The hotel has...
